Staff Design Researcher
We're building Walmart Data Ventures from the ground up, and Design Research is critical to our foundation. As a Staff Design Researcher, you'll help define and lead research strategy and execution. We work hard to understand the people we're designing for, and to deliver useful and usable products that delight. You'll work across functions and stakeholder groups, contributing your deep knowledge of the UX research process to guide roadmaps and product direction toward successful outcomes for our users and our business. What you'll do:
Help define our research strategy, approach, and executionSynthesis and ideation, in partnership with Product Design, Product Management, Engineering, and Data ScienceHelp establish a user- and human-centered product development cultureLead portfolio-wide research programs that balance business objectives and customer needsInterface directly with the people who use our products, representing Data Ventures while building strong customer relationships and uncovering our users' most critical needsIdentify and communicating high value opportunities for our teams to prioritize and execute towardScale and grow the research discipline within our organization
Qualifications:
Deep understanding of design thinking methodologies and user- / human-centered product design and developmentExperience leading the full spectrum of research activities - persona development, journey mapping, qualitative, quantitative, secondary research, workshop design and facilitation, insights gathering and synthesis, and usability testingA track record of influencing successful product direction and outcomes, across functions, stakeholders, and business leadersBachelor's degree with 7-9 years of professional research experience, or Master's Degree with 5-7 years of professional research experience, or 10+ years of professional research experienceWork samples that showcase your research experience and approach

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00-$264,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)
- Stock equity incentives
Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 4 years' experience in market research, business analysis, UX design research, or related area.
Option 2: 6 years' experience in market research, business analysis, UX design research, or related area.
