What you'll do...
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Data Scientist with a strong expertise in computer vision and edge computing to be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our edge computer vision systems. The ideal candidate will lead the development and implementation of advanced computer vision algorithms and machine learning models while ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our edge systems. In this role, the Staff Data Scientist will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and improve scalable machine learning models for edge devices.

What you'll do:
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of our edge computer vision systems
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines
• Analyze and improve pipelines to reduce cost while maintaining accuracy
• Develop and implement cutting-edge computer vision and machine learning algorithms to solve complex business problems
• Design and build scalable and efficient machine learning models for edge devices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Ensure the security and reliability of our edge system infrastructure
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer vision and edge computing technologies
• Mentor and coach junior data scientists and engineers
• Build the CV operations team
What you'll bring:
• Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• 5+ years of industry experience in computer vision and edge computing
• Strong expertise in programming languages such as Python, GoLang, and Javascript
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as Tensorflow, PyTorch, and Keras
• Experience with edge computing platforms such as Nvidia Jetson, Raspberry Pi, and Qualcomm Snapdragon
• Experience in deep learning frameworks such as pytorch and tensorRT.
• Knowledge of video technologies such as IP cameras, h264, h265, ffmpeg, and gstreamer.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience leading or managing teams is a plus
