Job Description
DUTIES: Architect overall technical design for enterprise level ecommerce applications; document the details in technical design document then engage with team of developers to build and implement the solution.
Provide ecommerce expertise and translate strategic requirements into deliverable projects as subject matter expert to business users and delivery team.
Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle; provide guidance in designing user interface, technology integration, and interfacing with the client technology and management teams.
Analyze risks, monitor problems, advise on risk mitigation strategies, and resolve any complex issues with minimal impact to users.
Create, communicate, and maintain best practices and coding strategies for team; hold the development team accountable to follow these best practices.
Collaborate with other architects to update architecture documents and other development processes documents.
Drive end-to-end project success by working closely with cross-functional teams (business and IT sponsors, project management office, business analysts, testers, and developers).
Develop prototype new technologies to implement applications.
Monitor performance diagnostics, including heap dump, thread dump, and garbage collection analysis and usage of monitoring and logging tools.
REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field of study plus 6 years of experience in Java-based application development or related occupation. Employer will also accept a Bachelor's degree or in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field of study plus 8 years of experience in Java-based application development or related occupation as an equivalent alternative.
Must have experience or knowledge of:
Developing a commercial ecommerce platform;
Integrating ecommerce platform/application with marketing application;
Technology benchmarking and industry analysis of ecommerce platforms;
AWS;
luster management;
Dev Ops Automation tools;
Jenkins;
GitHub CI/CD pipeline.
Travel: Up to 25% domestic travel required.
