Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Staff Accountant II to join our amazing culture. As a Staff Accountant II, you are a part of a dynamic team that allows you to grow as Convergint grows. The ideal candidate should be able to learn quickly and work well both with the team and independently. The Staff Accountant will be focused primarily on inventory, being the point of contact in the Accounting Department for all inventory matters. Also, the scope of the position includes various general accounting duties, such as the monthly financial close, recording financial transactions, and completing account reconciliations.
The candidate should possess basic knowledge of general accounting principles and be proficient in Excel.

What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

Complete inventory reporting and reconciliations for the month-end close
Reconcile physical inventory counts for all company locations, including warehouses and field technician vehicles
Schedule and coordinate cycle counts with field technicians for inventory on company vehicles
Post item adjustment entries, including but not limited to positive and negative adjustments, item transfers, and item repair costs
Post general journal entries
Complete various account reconciliations; researching and investigating discrepancies as needed
Monitor daily bank activity and complete bank reconciliations
Support audit requests
Assist in accounting projects and IT initiatives as assigned to accomplish department/company objectives

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience preferred
Hands-on experience working with a general ledger
Must have basic experience with Microsoft Excel – intermediate preferred
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central a plus
