Based in the Dallas, Texas area, this role is a career-building, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. In this role, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. The ideal candidate for this role will be comfortable participating in compliance, interacting with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. This could be the ideal position for you, if you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.
What you get to do every single day
Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting
In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries
Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable Requirements - Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Vow to meet business deadlines
Recent and relevant accounting experience
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills
Efficient in ERP systems
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Full Cycle Accounting experience
Solid understanding of Oracle
