As a Senior Systems Engineer you will be responsible for the technical aspects of our remotely operated yard truck solution, from concept, to requirements, integration, and test. Responsibilities
Design and document behavioral and functional concepts for primary subsystems.
Define and document interface control documents between components and subsystems.
Collaborate with third party vendors to manage technical aspects of component and subsystem development.
Perform prototype development and testing of hardware and software systems.
Document requirements and test cases, ensuring end-to-end traceability and compliance with relevant processes, safety standards, and regulations.
Lead risk assessment activities and define functional safety concepts.
Manage the safety development lifecycle.
Remote with 25 - 50% travel
Qualifications
10+ years of experience taking complex multi-discipline systems from concept to deployment.
Demonstrated ability to iterate on conceptual designs as well as perform hands on integration and testing tasks.
Experience developing perception software using a variety of sensor modalities.
Knowledge of and experience with robotic and/or autonomous vehicle applications and concepts.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C/C++ and Python.
Demonstrated aptitude and intuition regarding mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, or a related technical field.
Authorized to work in the USA without Visa sponsorship.
Nice to Have
Experience with safety standards such as as ISO 13849, ISO 61508, ISO 62061, or ISO 26262.
Experience developing code according to MISRA C and MISRA C++ standards.
