Senior System Administrator
Leidos is seeking a Senior System Administrator (SysAdmin) responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of multiple computer systems, with a special emphasis of multi-user computers and Wide-Area Networks. The Sysadmin will ultimately be responsible for the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the information systems. Sysadmin duties will include:
Ensuring that the uptime, performance, resources, and security of the computers they manage meet the needs of the users.
Installing or upgrading computer components and software
Providing routine automation
Maintaining security policies
Troubleshooting hardware and software failures
Training staff users
Offering technical support for special projects
Primary Responsibilities
Design and monitor new complex systems.
Configure, install, and maintain systems, hardware or software and all domain security requirements.
Solve complex networking and administration issues and use critical thinking to support network functionality alongside Network Administrators.
Plan and schedule the installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems, and applications software.
Manage accounts, network rights, access to systems and equipment and implement security procedures and tools.
Resolve hardware and software interface and interoperability problems.
Ensures systems availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency.
Maintain systems configuration and manage the installation and integration of system fixes, upgrades, and enhancements.
Perform feasibility studies on complex information systems and conduct in-depth analysis complicated by novel problems.
Participate in Management meetings, discussions, committees, and special projects.
Basic Qualifications
Current TS/SCI Cleared (no exceptions, candidates who do not currently possess this clearance will not be considered)
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field and 8+ years of related experience or Master's and 6 years of related experience. Associates Degree with additional IT experience may considered in lieu of a BS or MS degree.
Minimum of 5 years experience working as a System Administrator
Minimum of 2 years experience working with Microsoft System Administration including lodging scripting ,Group Policy objects (GPO's) and Windows servers roles including DHCP, DNS and active directory.
Knowledge of Linux system administration including logging
Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2017 System Administration and Troubleshooting.
Knowledge of essentials for IT security and security administration.
Information Assurance DOD 85701-M Certification.
Must have 8570 IAT Level II Certification
Pay Range:
Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
