Amazon Web Services is seeking an experienced self directed, System Development Engineer for our AWS Training and Certification team to reliably build the infrastructure to support our mission of training millions of learners in cloud technologies worldwide. Key job responsibilities
AWS Training and Certification team is searching for a System Development Engineer to develop efficient, scalable frameworks and automation tools for solving complex problems in space of Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD), Security Deployments of Machine Learning models, Integration Test Framework, Containerization, etc. We're looking for a System Development Engineer who's self-driven, able to deal with ambiguity, passionate about giving customers the best possible experience and comes with strong systems engineering fundamentals
A day in the life
You will get a comprehensive view of all aspects of Amazon's business. You will have the opportunity to work with massive data sets and improve the agility of our technical teams. You will develop an understanding of the business impact of your systems and make responsible trade-offs between the short-term operational needs and long-term business objectives. You will actively participate in team strategy discussions and contribute to the decisions made regarding technology.
You will provide technical solutions that not only meet the current needs but also consider the future, promoting simplicity and ease of maintainability. Your solutions will be designed in such a way that they can be easily understood and contributed to by other team members.
You will collaborate with your team, encouraging best practices and setting standards to improve the overall quality of the team's work. In situations where there are differing viewpoints, you will strive to find the best way forward and build consensus.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development with experience in machine learning systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. The candidate should have a successful track record of delivering large-scale engineering solutions. The desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment is crucial.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby experience
4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
4+ years of systems development in an IT or data center environment experience
4+ years of deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment experience
2+ years of systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement experience
Experience leading the design, build and deployment of complex and performant (reliable and scalable) software solutions in production
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
Experience taking a leading role in building complex software or computing infrastructure that has been successfully delivered to customers
Experience on dealing with production grade Machine Learning Systems for Texts/Images.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
