We are looking to expand our sales team by adding a driven and dedicated Solution Sales Executive to the Payer Growth team. The SSE will be responsible for new business growth in Eastern U.S. territory responsible for Optum’s Product Portfolio of Risk & Quality Solutions focused on the Payer market. Primary Responsibilities:
Sourcing and identifying new business opportunities in assigned Eastern U.S. territory.
Making initial contact with prospective clients, building sufficient pipeline to meet and exceed annual growth targets
Managing prospective customers throughout the entire sales cycle from initial outreach until execution of contract
Sell all Optum’s prospective & retrospective Risk & Quality Solutions to prospective clients
Attend pertinent industry conferences, trade shows, and functions as seen to benefit the organization and grow our new business opportunity pipeline & client base
Maintain high level relationships with named accounts & key Payer contact
Regularly schedule face-to-face client meetings to follow up on new business opportunities and re-educate existing clients of Optum’s RQ Payer Services & Solutions
Communicate on a regular basis with internal teammates and management to ensure monthly & Quarterly business growth goals are achieved on a consistent basis
Successfully execute sales initiatives and goals within assigned territory

Required Qualifications:
3+ years of full-cycle sales experience in Risk Adjustment Solutions in the Payer Market
Proven track record of success in achieving individual quota targets
Willingness and ability to travel 25%-50% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of full-cycle sales experience
Health Plan/Payer industry experience
Medicaid experience
Proficient in Account Planning and understanding of territory management
Proven track record of selling to East Coast Payer accounts
Proven ability to generate your own leads as well as work with inside sales team
Proven ability to provide timely and accurate forecasting
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington residents is $90,000 to $195,000 annually. Role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance.
