We target to maximize supply flexibility for our Customers, while maintaining a best-in-class quality bar and minimizing our capex footprint. We will surpass expectations by developing, engineering and installing manufacturing solutions as we closely cooperate with internal and external stakeholders. Key job responsibilities
This role of Senior SMT Subject Matter Expert will be focused on SMT and PCBA assembly process development, DFM review, technical issues resolution. You will collaborate with cross functional team to identify appropriate tooling & test fixtures, trouble shooting material and process issues, and qualifying processes and tooling to assure successful introduction of new products into production.
Responsibilities:
Drive SMT (Surface mounting technology) /BA (Board assembly) process development during NPI phase.
Drive DFM ensure no violations and manage PCBA build execution during NPI phase.
Provide advice on design & planning through DFM, Line balancing , as well as Process Yield, Capacity and Cost Modeling (SMT and PCBA).
Review and comment on Tooling Designs & Qualification (SMT and PCBA)
Provide advice regarding Process Qualification, Approval and Documentation (SMT and PCBA)

Amazon devices have a vast market foot prints including Alexa enabled Echo, Kindle, Fire TV, Wearables and many others. With a mission to delight our customer with high quality while affordable products, we work continuously toward setting up robust and cost effective manufacturing processes, improving production first pass yield, exploring sustainable and scalable improvement initiatives. As part of this dynamic team, you’ll collaborate with other Amazon cross functional teams including OPM, quality, engineering and CM counterparts to establish and sustain a robust manufacturing processes from SMT, final assembly, test, packaging and shipment.
About the team
You will be part of a team that aim at delivering top quality hardware products to our valued customers, driving our CM (contract manufacturer) factories to deploy robust production process and advanced manufacturing technologies, supporting product prototype build with focus on SMT and PCBA assembly process.

Basic Qualifications
Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test proceduresPreferred Qualifications
Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
Experience with the project management of technical projects
