We are seeking a dedicated Senior Security Operations Analyst to join our team. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking to effectively manage and respond to cybersecurity threats. As a member of the Security Operations Team, you'll be responsible for monitoring our corporate environment and Atlassian cloud services for signs of compromise and responding to alerts. In this role, you will be part of a team of dedicated professionals working to protect Atlassian and our customers from cyber threats.

Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $190,500 - $253,900
Zone B: $171,400 - $228,500
Zone C: $158,100 - $210,800
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

Lead a team of Junior Security Operations Analysts, share your knowledge and expertise with the team, fostering a collaborative and learning environment.Handle the day-to-day triage of cyber alerts, analyzing and prioritizing security threats.Investigate signs of compromise, utilizing your problem-solving skills and knowledge of cyber attacks and data analysis.Provide suggestions and feedback to enhance alert and detection coverage, tuning detections to reduce noise.Develop and implement new processes and procedures to improve the team's efficiency and effectiveness in detecting and responding to security threats.Coordinate with other teams to mitigate security risks and handle potential incidents.Create metrics and reports to measure security effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.Adapt to change and organize work effectively according to business priorities.Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on security best practices and procedures.Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve the organization's security posture
Flexibility to work a shift schedule, including weekends, day, evening, or night shifts is a must.At least 5 years of experience working in an IT security-related role.1+ years working as part of a SOCAbility to adjust to the unpredictable and constantly changing work that exists in the field of cybersecurity.Enthusiasm and passion for Information Security.Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor a team.Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex security issues and provide actionable solutions.
Preferred:
Previous experience in engineering.Previous experience working in an incident response function.Experience working with large-scale cloud infrastructures.Networking or Security certifications.
