Summary of Role:GLOBALFOUNDRIES US Reliability Engineering team is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Manager to lead the US Reliability Labs operations. As a Senior Section Manager, you will be responsible for all wafer and package level reliability testing to support technology development and qualification for Fab8 and Fab9. The manager will ensure optimum tool utilization and on-time data delivery through effective resolution of issues and continuous capability and throughput improvement. The manager will also be responsibilities for bringing up new test capabilities for emerging technologies (Si Ph, NVRAM, High Voltage) working closely with the FEOL, BEOL, and Product reliability engineering teams. The location of this role is Fab8.
Essential Responsibilities:
Manage wafer and package level reliability testing to support technology qualification and development for Fab8 and Fab9.
Manage test schedules, priorities, and capacity/resources to assure all reliability assessment and qualification testing is completed on time.
Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence; increase operational efficiency through standardization, automation and optimum structuring of the lab systems and resources.
Drive software and hardware development projects to bring new test capabilities and improve test cycle time and throughput.
Mange the lab equipment and infrastructure; responsible for asset management, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
Responsible for safety, ESD, and Quality Management System compliance.
Collaborate with Procurement and Facilities teams on the new tool installation and/or relocation, purchase orders, facilities setup.
Manage employee development and training, including ‘on the job training’ and ‘job breakdown instruction’ documents.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Continue to develop and grow by participating in training, mentoring and learning opportunities offered by GLOBALFOUNDRIES.
Required Qualifications:
Education – Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Microelectronics related field.
Experience - Minimum 7 Years in semiconductor field. Minimum 5 Years in Reliability Engineering.
Hands-on experience with the lab equipment such as Cascade/Accretech probers and Agilent/Keithley testers.
Proficient in Visual Basic, C#, C++.
Strong knowledge/understanding of semiconductor device operations and device reliability failure mechanisms.
Demonstrated excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate well with engineering and management teams.
Strong organizational skills: demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a globally matrixed team or environment.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments.
Strong project management skills, particularly focused on managing schedules, scope and cost trade-offs of projects.
Travel - Up to 10%
Fluency in English Language – written & verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
7+ years of experience with device reliability testing and lab equipment.
Solid understanding of reliability physics; proficiency in programing/developing reliability test programs.
Prior experience in managing semiconductor labs; implementing, ramping and sustaining electrical tests in a high-volume manufacturing setting with a focus on customer-specific product / technology analysis.
Expected Salary Range
$85,900.00 - $158,600.00
