Job Summary:
ZimVie is seeking Senior Finance Analyst, responsible for the preparation of external financial reports, performing US GAAP technical research and supervising lease accounting and stock compensation accounting.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare 10-Qs/Ks, including supporting documentation, as well as the Accounting Disclosure ChecklistDevelop relationships with key stakeholders to collect data necessary to complete reportsPartner with FP&A to ensure consistency of 10-Qs/Ks and Earnings ReleasesPrepare quarterly memos such as assessments of going concern and SAB 99 Prepare annual memos for assessments of reporting units and segmentsMaintain lease accounting data (using existing leasing software), communicate with site finance leaders regarding new leases and monthly accounting entriesAnalyze monthly stock compensation expense and ESOP expense and communicate monthly journals to accounting teamConduct research, interpretation and documentation of technical accounting topics, and draft memos as neededSupport external audit and maintain internal controls

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e., knowledge, skills, and abilities)
SEC financial reporting requirements and technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP. Highly detail oriented and organized.Demonstrates strong communication (oral and written) skills.Ability to research technical accounting matters and explain complex accounting matters to non-financial business partners.Ability to work in a team-driven environment.Ability to multitask multiple projects and deliverables.Highly motivated, self-starter willing to deliver results and meet strict deadlines.Demonstrated characteristics of high potential for future development opportunities.Computer literate; intermediate to advanced Excel and Word required.
Education/Experience Requirements
B.S. in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field. CPA preferred.Minimum of 3 years of US GAAP accounting experience with Big Four audit and corporate environments.Minimum one year SEC Reporting experience in a small to mid-size company or two years in a large sized company. Experience with either Active Disclosure or Workiva systems for SEC reporting 5+ overall years of experience required in accounting.
