As the Sr. Risk Control Consultant you will provide specialized multi-line risk control surveys and consulting services for large commercial insurance customers, in order to reduce losses. You will conduct onsite risk control surveys while providing detailed analysis and consultation on risks present. In this role, you will develop and implement service plans, promoting strong risk management practices. You will also present risk control training programs for large accounts and provide guidance to less experienced risk control consultants, including quality review of others' risk control surveys and reports. As the Sr. Risk Control Consultant you will promote risk control within each region and provide risk control and risk management services to our internal customers. This territory covers the California, Washington, Oregon, and Nevada areas of the United States with the majority of work located in California.
Responsibilities:
Conduct on site risk assessment activities that, requires policyholder contact, to obtain information to document facts and observations, analyze exposures and controls, and develop risk improvement recommendations for Commercial Business customers.
Provide detailed reports of all risk control surveys and services.
Provide risk control consulting services for large account Commercial Business customers.
Consult with policyholders, field underwriting, sales and distribution partners by email and phone to provide Risk Control and Risk Management advice in an effort to assess and improve risk.
Travel as required.
Required Qualifications:
Four-year degree in one of the following areas of study: Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineer, Fire Protection Engineer or have related experience.
Three years of risk control/safety experience with an in-depth knowledge of one or more of the following niches: Religious Organizations, Non-Profit/Human Services, and Education Organizations.
Recommended Qualifications:
Designation in one or more of the following is highly desirable: Certified Safety Professional, Associate in Loss Control Management, Associate in Risk Management, Certified Industrial Hygienist.
Experience providing high quality service to Large Accounts.
Convey clear, concise information to others, using verbal or other appropriate communication techniques.
Computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office products and building valuation software.
Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
Excellent presentation skills.
Compensation:
$76,800 - $128,000 commensurate with experience, plus bonus eligibility
$84,600 - $141,000 commensurate with experience in CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY, and PA, plus bonus eligibility
