Job Overview
The Technical Problem Expert oversees the plant Problem Solving activity. They lead cross-functional teams to solve complex and difficult manufacturing problems. The Technical Problem Expert contribute to the project selection that will have the highest impact on plant metrics. They also coaches plant problem solvers and ensures their development.
Responsibilities
As a Technical Problem-Solving Expert, you will:
Solve complex and difficult technical problemsLead a cross-functional team to apply diligently a structured problem-solving methodology (Shainin, Six Sigma or equivalent)Define prioritiesProactively anticipate roadblocks to find solutions and escalate when neededEnsure methodologies are correctly appliedCoach and develop Problem Solver Practitioners Select the projects that will have the highest impact on plant metrics.Report out to Senior Management project progress, people development, savings
What your background should look like:
Engineering degree (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)2 years minimum of experience as a Shainin Journeyman and/or Six Sigma Black BeltStrong understanding of engineering fundamentals and product designStrong attention to details Willing to develop othersLeadership skills and strong business acumenInterpersonal skill to work with people at different levelsGood interpersonal skills to work with peopleBe a positive change agentEnglish (written & spoken) Minitab
Preferred
Experience in coaching and trainingAble to develop Dashboard (PowerBI) and to apply Data Science (Python, R)
