We are looking for a dynamic, technical-focused Project Manager to join our growing Zendesk CIO - Program Management Office (PMO) to drive cross-functional projects sponsored by our Finance, Legal, Sales, Go To Market (GTM) and or IT Teams.

The successful candidate will work directly with cross functional stakeholders to ensure deliverables remain within the applicable scope, schedule and budget.Project Manager may be assigned to multiple projects that roll up to a Program Level Strategic Initiative.Develops detailed project plans, sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors schedule and ensures tasks stay on track to meet key milestones.Creates and maintains project documentation for each phase of the project e.g. Project Charter, RACI, RAID Log, etc.Prepare weekly status reports within Smartsheets for Program Manager and or Business Partners regarding status of project.Anticipate areas of risk and determine ways to mitigate them prior to becoming issues.Issue Management communicates and appropriately escalates issues to Program Manager, and or Business Sponsor.Lead by influence rather than authority to build trust across the organization and stakeholders.Foster a culture of openness and transparency to increase likelihood of project success.Positively impact the effectiveness and efficiency of project team members.
What you bring to the role:
Proven Track record of setting up, defining, and driving cross-functional, technical projects in a fast-paced environment.Able to get to the heart of a problem and mobilize the right people to solve it.Extremely strong collaboration, planning, influencing, prioritization, and time management skills.Attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture view.Ability to create and manage detailed project plans while simultaneously managing multiple projects successfully and meeting timelines, scope, and budget.In addition, you are known for being a facilitator of efficient and productive meetings that people look forward to attending!An understanding of the challenges faced by cross-geo teams and a willingness to solve them.Effective communication of project objectives between technical and business teams to ensure alignment and project milestones are met.Ability to follow and positively influence Program Management Office Standards and best practices.Bonus points if you have demonstrated these skills successfully with virtual and geographically dispersed teams.Proficient with gSuite e.g. gmail, google doc, google slide, google sheets, Smartsheets, Confluence, Slack, Jira, etc.Experience managing Go To Market, Sales Projects is a plusExperience in the tech industry is a plus.Proficient in English both verbal and written communication.Minimum of 3 - 6 years in a Project Manager Role.
Education:
A bachelor's degree in management, business or another related discipline. Relevant work experience in the field for a significant amount of time.PMP and/or Agile certifications are a plus.
Where we work:
Hybrid: Being digital first doesnt mean were digital only. In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our CDMX office on a weekly basis for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
