About Sr. Project Manager

  Senior Project Manager

  The Customer Experience & Digital Transformation Office within the Thomson Reuters is seeking a high-energy motivated individual with strong project management skills. This individual will manage projects that support the delivery of complex solutions and drive operational efficiencies in our organization. These programs may require collaboration with a variety of business and technology areas and involve multiple globally located businesses and project teams. The key to our success is largely dependent on the stellar ability of our project management team.

  We're currently searching for an experienced, proactive, and collaborative program leader to join our ranks and continue our tradition of success. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to lead programs that drive results and process improvements. We are looking for someone who is motivated by the desire to improve our customers' experiences, optimize productivity, and nurture program success from inception to completion.

  About the Role

  In this opportunity as Sr. Project Manager, you will:

  Defines, documents and executes projects of extreme high risk, complexity and visibility, actively participating in all phases of the project. Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project. Drafts feasibility studies, risk assessments and statements of work. May develop or assist in developing business cases for large projects with significant impact to company goals. Responsible for producing all typical project documentation - detailed project plans, work plans, schedules, project estimates, conversion schedules, resource plans and status reports. Determines project methodology. Defines project scope and objectives.Agrees scope and constraints to enable costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful completion of each project to be estimated.Has responsibility to ensure project deliverables are demonstrably fit for purpose.Gains commitments to ensure corrective actions are taken if costs, timescales or resources deviate from agreed tolerances.Manages the change control procedure gaining agreement for revisions to the project from project stakeholders and ensure full impact of significant changes are understood by project stakeholders.Ensures all parties are aware of project scope and milestones. Highlights divergence from that scope, and adjusts it where necessary to reflect changing circumstances, acts a communication liaison.

  About You

  You're a fit for the role of Sr. Project Manager if your background includes:

  BS/BA required.Minimum of 7 years of progressive program/project management experience, including implementation programs of cross-functional projects in a technology or matrix organizational environmentStrong experience in a fast-paced software development environment with proven use of Agile (scrum) development and knowledge of waterfall methodologies.Able to clearly communicate and influence by adapting style to reflect changing needs at all stakeholder levels Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, as well as resource allocation and budgeting experienceStrong negotiating, influencing, and conflict resolution skillsAbility to flex schedule to work with global business partnersStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint and MS Project or other project management tools.
