About Sr. Program Manager, Operational Excellence, Fire TV Operations and Supply Chain

  Description

  FireTV is the #1 best-selling streaming media player in the U.S. The FireTV team is passionate about bringing incredible entertainment experiences to our customers and helping them discover shows that they want to watch every day by making the entertainment experience more intuitive for customers and easier to discover great content.

  Key job responsibilities

  • Lead operational and business scaling improvement programs delivering specific goals for schedule, cost, volume, scaling, and overall operational efficiency goals.

  • Coordinate with internal and external cross-functional teams to launch 3rd party partner device.

  • Make optimal trade-offs between schedule, resources and scope. Apply advanced technical and business knowledge to address major risks.

  • Collaborate with 3P manufacturing partner to improve manufacturing mechanisms, capacity models, and UPH improvement.

  • Understand the technical and business requirements of our 3P partners and guide the direction of production activities to deliver program objectives for new products and change management.

  • Formulate, document and manage the operational and supply chain roadmap for supported components, 3P suppliers and contract manufacturing partners.

  • Understand Fire TV business processes and the technical requirements of our partners and work with various analytics and software development teams to implement process automation, analytical tools and dashboards to track metrics, monitor SLAs, and automate risk management and partner engagement.

  • Proactively seek to learn, understand and import best practices, resources, and training programs being successfully implemented by other teams across geographic locations. Partner with Product, Engineering, Launch, and Marketing teams to maintain operational processes and policies.

  • Clearly communicate complex operational strategies (inputs, outputs, rationale, gaps) and provide recommendations to senior management. Own regular reporting for business pulse such as Flash reports, MBRs, QBRs.

  The role is inherently cross-functional: you will work closely with a high-energy team of software engineers, program managers, user experience designers, marketers, as well as external 3rd party partners (Suppliers, ODMs, OEMs). This role is a good fit for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is both creative, operational and technical, and who is sensitive to (or understands) the diverse perspectives of stakeholders and works with them to resolve differences. The ideal candidate has a passion for TV & video entertainment combined with an established track delivering break-out consumer technology products

  About the team

  At the heart of the FireTV Supply Chain and Operational Excellence team is delighting our customers. We are responsible for developing and executing a global supply chain that brings the FireTV experience to every device in the world. We focus on establishing strategic engagement with our OEM partners and 3rd party suppliers, and deploying mechanisms and automation that enhance our partners volume production capabilities, improve lead times and on time delivery, reduce cost, and support efficient scaling of the global FireTV operational and supply chain capability.

  We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

  Shenzhen, CHN

  Basic Qualifications

  5+ years of program or project management experience

  Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  Preferred Qualifications

  2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
