Location and Specific Information
Our Bioprocess Equipment and Automation Business Unit (BEA) is part of our Single-Use Division. BEA provides industry-leading bioprocess equipment and automation to accelerate biological manufacturing processes for upstream and downstream bioprocessing workflows.
The Product Manager develops and implements global product strategies to accelerate the growth of our ancillary equipment and service offering portfolios. This role will be a unique combination of a leading portfolio of products and services to create differentiation in the marketplace and achieve growth for the business.
A Day in the Life:
Working cross-functionally with different product line management, R&D and equipment services teams to successfully develop short-term and long-term features to strengthen the effective equipment and remote service product offeringsWorking cross-functionally to lead demo strategy development for bioprocess equipment to enable commercial effectivenessResponsible for revenue, margin, customer satisfaction, and market share objectives as well as full product life cycle including product discontinuation strategies to ensure positive customer experience and smooth revenue transition.Provide direction for all new product introductionsMaintain close relationships with field organization (e.g., sales and technical support) through training and active participation in the sales process, including customer visits, participating with pricing tactics, and customer support.Assist in identifying and developing effective promotional and sales tools and collateral marketing pieces
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in science or other related science; MBA strongly preferredMinimum 4+ years of product management experience with a diverse product portfolios including hardware, software, and consumables. Have 7 plus year of experience managing service portfolios within laboratory automation or similar industryPrior experience in life sciences equipment services or working on complex life sciences automation and/or digital software projectsPortfolio planning, product rationalization, collecting Voice of Customer, Market Research, Market Strategy, Value Based PricingStrong management, project management and planning skills, and comfortable making decisions and adopting changesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in matrix organizational structureTravel: approximately 20+% globally
