The Role
This position is responsible for and owns existing and new CCC Auto Physical Damage claims processing technology, through all phases of the product life-cycle from inception through retirement; this includes evaluating new market/customer needs and priorities, building business cases for new products and significant product enhancements, partnering internally and externally to ensure effective development and implementation of product plans.
This individual will also work with the existing markets/customers to ensure effective product, pricing, and positioning for the market. The Product Manager will be expected to formulate a point of view on where APD Claims products need to go to succeed in the market place.
This individual will also be willing to learn vehicle damage assessment subject matter area or already have experience in this.
This individual will also collaborate heavily with AI teams and should have experience in AI or be willing to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Be the product visionary in how your products drive operational efficiencies for the insurance market.Drive products and product roadmap for responsible productsEngage with internal and external stakeholders to elicit analytics requirements and understand prioritiesCollaborate with marketing, operations, sales, consulting, technology development and data science teams, and manage customer expectations around product planning, delivery and implementationPrioritize product enhancements and customer requests by making smart, decisive tradeoffs using data-driven analysis and sound judgmentConduct visits with customers, perform competitive analysis, and work with internal teams to draw necessary insight from multiple viewpoints and understand market needsDevelop business cases for new products and significant product enhancements including: identification of problem, proposed solution, value proposition, market sizing, sales projection, costs, pricing, execution planning/management etc.Communicate product positioning and strategic value both internally and externallyProactively engage customers, partners, and internal stakeholders on the product roadmapDevelop, maintain, and direct implementation of product roadmaps across entire organization and business unitsLead the product launch process to ensure the organization is ready to train, deploy, and support the product in the marketMeasure the actual results of the release/product against the business case expectations
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is an experienced product manager with strong business acumen and a background in claims processing within the insurance industry and experience in working on AI products. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, an advanced degree, particularly an MBA, is preferred8+ years of total product management experience with 2+ years of b2b software product management experience in a software companyExcellent problem solving and analytical skillsGood understanding of the software development life cycle, workflow automation and analytics solutionsExpertise in business requirements authoring / management, workflow diagramming, and product line managementDemonstrated ability to collaborate and influence internally across functional and technology groups, innovate, craft a vision, get people excited by ideas and get them quickly to marketExperience with Agile processes and AI techniques preferredExcellent written communication skills - documentation, presentations, and flowchartsExcellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with business partners, senior executives, developers, & other cross functional team membersWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, with a strong aptitude in Excel and PowerPoint
