What's the role?

　　Join the Platform Architecture team as a Sr Principal Architect to lead the design and development of the Platform's Identity and Access Management (IAM) system, providing functionality for both HERE internal and external customers location services. In this role you will work with your peers cross-function, improving IAM functionalities, evaluating new technology and creating new capabilities for the platform foundation functionalities including IAM, billing, customer management and access control for devices like cars and trucks. You will evaluate technical and business requirements, create architectures balancing all of them and achieve buy-in from the stakeholders. You do not only strive for technical excellence, but you're also a great communicator and drive things forward. You're not settling for the status quo and keep an open mind all the time to find the best fitting solutions.

　　Drive the success of the platform's Identity and Access Management (IAM) system through deliberate, clear, consistent software and system design, implementation and validation.Technically, lead the teams and projects you work in. This demands an analytical mindset, solid theoretical background and excellent communication skills.Be an integral part of the platform architecture group and work in close partnership with respective product and engineering management.

　　Requirements:

　　10+ years experience in delivering distributed software systems in various roles, including customer-facing work3+ years in lead engineer/architect roleFluency in Java and one or more of Scala, Python, Golang, JavascriptExperience with Identity Management Systems Understanding of  IAM concepts like OAuth, OpenID, OIDC, JWTExperience with security concepts (TLS, Signatures, Encryption)Understanding of general AuthN/AuthZ concepts as well as RBACDeep understanding of IaaS cloud providers' offerings, preferably AWSBachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline (Master's degree preferred) Nice to have:

　　Experience with highly-scalable and highly-available distributed cloud systemsExperience with location services or geospatial dataExperience with Spark, Flink, Kafka, RedisExperience with microservice and RESTful architecturesExperience with the full lifecycle of a productExperience with cloud billing, metering and monitoringExperience with HTTP gateways for access controlExperience with third party IDP integration
