As a Sr. Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the complete payroll process, managing employee benefits, ensuring statutory compliance, and handling reimbursement and insurance matters. Your role will involve meticulous attention to detail, adherence to legal regulations, and effective communication with internal stakeholders.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Payroll Processing
Executing end-to-end payroll processing for employees within designated timelinesCalculating and verifying wages, deductions, Provident fund, Gratuity, and Statutory Bonus paymentsMaintaining accurate records of payroll transactions and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
Employee Benefits Management
Administering employee benefits programs, including PF, Gratuity, retirement plans, and other perksEducating employees about available benefits, enrolment procedures, and eligibility criteriaCollaborating with HR to resolve benefit-related issues and facilitate seamless processes
Reimbursement Management
Overseeing reimbursement procedures for expenses incurred by employees using ConcurReviewing reimbursement claims, verify supporting documents, and process payments accordingly.Implementing efficient reimbursement systems to streamline the process.
Statutory Compliance Management
Staying updated on Indian labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements related to payrollEnsuring compliance with PF (Provident Fund), ESI (Employee State Insurance), PT (Professional Tax), and other statutory deductionsPreparing and file necessary reports and returns within prescribed timelines
Employee Insurance Management
Managing employee insurance policies including medical, accident, and life insuranceFacilitating insurance claims, liaise with insurance providers, and resolve related queriesConducting periodic reviews of insurance coverage and recommend adjustments as needed
Month closing & Reporting
Salary related GL Accounts review and clearing/ settlementsReviewing and approval of salary related month end provisions & prepaid expensesCompleting salary related Month closing activities within agreed TAT
Audits & Assessments
Responsible for maintaining documentation and ensuring salary related audit complianceIndependently handling salary related Audit activities for IGAAP and USGAAPAssisting in salary related Tax Audits and Assessments data requests
The Candidate:
Required skills/qualifications:
Bachelor''s degree in Finance, Accounting, or CA (Inter) related fieldFluency in written and spoken English Proven experience (4-5 years) in payroll processing, benefits administration, or HR operationsStrong understanding of Indian labor laws, taxation, and statutory compliancesProficiency in payroll software (ADP), Reimbursement Software (Concur) and MS Office, especially ExcelEffective communication and problem-solving abilitiesProcess driven, independent, flexible and ability to prioritize tasksWillingness to accept additional and urgent tasks as and when requiredTime Management skills and ability to perform during peak output requirementsMeticulous approach in handling payroll details and compliance mattersNumerical accuracy, and organizational skillsAbility to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and propose solutionsCapacity to navigate changing regulations and adapt to new software/toolsUpholding confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive payroll informationCollaborative attitude to work with HR, Finance, and other departments effectively
