About Sr Payroll Analyst

  Job Description

  Thermo Fisher Scientific is looking for an experience Payroll Specialist, responsible for guaranteeing all payments to the employees and government, as well as all compliant processes regarding payroll! This position will play a key role in driving and enhancing the processes and controls in the area and in the relationship with vendors, systems and partner areas like Finance and Accounting. He will help us take our Payroll processes to a new level by making it automated, scalable and smart.

  Essential Functions:

  Payroll calculation check, managing the relationship with the Payroll vendor, Process integration

  Electronic Point information management and overtime calculationSetting up employee option for pension, benefit, and all other taxable benefit and deductionsEmployee changes update such as merit, adjustment in pay, pension deduction percentageManaging severance file for terminated employeesPayments of commissions and bonusesSubmission of payment of salary advancesMonthly payroll payments, PLR and vacation through bank filesUpload the file and interface with the ADP system, capture the changes and audit prior to processing payrollBank payments controlAccounting preparation and checking for alignment with the finance teamAll taxes checking and payment processing (INSS, IR and others)E-Social and compliance reviewContinuous improvement for the Payroll processing and check processes, looking for automation opportunitiesResponding to employees on related payroll concerns and issues in a timely fashionParticipate in global systems implementation projects, definition of roles and responsibilities, etc.

  Required Qualification:

  Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll for large and mid-size organizationIs required working with multiple payroll entities would be considered as a huge assetPrior work experience with ADP Globalview, APDATA and WorkdayPayroll laws and regulations, payroll calcs (do and check) with experience working with external vendor processing, accounting closing for payroll and benefits, bank management for payrollProcess improvement mindset and experienceFluent in englishPrograming languages and experience for processes automation

  Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  In-depth knowledge of payroll processing, labor laws of the countries supported, compensation, staffing, employee relations, etc.Regional experience with payroll projectPayroll vendor management experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
