This role is cross trained to directly support our patients who are calling in to the office to schedule appointments, check-in at the front desk or check out after their appointment. They also support the providers who rely on them to monitor their schedule daily, weekly and to adjust as needed. This position is instrumental in our patient outreach process to ensure our population of 20,000 patients including 1800 Medicare Advantage patients are seen their annual care visits. This role directly impacts provider productivity, patient satisfaction and gap closures and is critical to generating revenue. The Sr PCC will handle anywhere from 200 to 1500 calls week depending on what position they cover and will check in and handle approximately 50 patients at the check-in/checkout desks. They will also be responsible for daily deposits, office supply ordering and inventory as well as arranging coverage.
Primary Responsibilities:
Greeting & checking in patients Check patients out Checking Insurance eligibility & collecting copays Entering demographics and insurance in Allscript Practice Management (APM) Answering phones Complete tasks needed to help medical assistants and providers Multi-task on several projects throughout the day while paying close attention to detail Handling walk-ins Other duties as assigned

Years of post-high school education can be substituted/is equivalent to years of experience
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of customer service experience 3+ months of medical office experience Proven excellent phone etiquette
Preferred Qualifications:
Insurance eligibility processing experience Background using EMR or EHR (electronic medical records/electronic health records) Knowledge of medical insurances (HMO, PPO, Medicare & etc.) Bilingual Spanish/English
