  Description

  NASC Engineering is searching for an innovative and solutions-oriented Operations Engineers to monitor all engineering initiatives in developing and delivering next generation, world-class sortation and transportation systems. This position will have an impact on both design and process design engineering for the NASC.

  We’re looking to add a handful of high-impact operations engineers to our team. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to develop, monitor and innovate cost-effective solutions for our sortation and distribution systems. Your projects will be a variety of template-based and designed-from-scratch along with ownership of Process Designs end to end complimenting each Design.

  You will work with a team of highly skilled and highly engaged engineers in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment. Our team works on hundreds of projects each year. You will be challenged; you will learn; you will work on high impact, high visibility projects; you will grow.

  • Coordinate efforts to develop optimal solutions and processes for the sortation and transportation network through process design, site layout, and intellectual property considerations.

  • Collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions in very short periods of time.

  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors.

  • Effective communication skills, ability to execute the vision, detailed roadmap, and specific technical solutions.

  • Travel Requirements : 50%

  Basic Qualifications

  5+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience

  Bachelor's degree

  Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment

  Preferred Qualifications

  Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field

  Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operations engineer tools

  Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $95,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
