  Job Title: Senior Manager, Recruitment - Food & Beverage/Culinary Operations

  Reports to: AVP, Talent Acquisition

  Direct Reports: None

  Position Summary:

  This role supports global shipboard recruitment operations and the talent acquisition team. The Sr. Manager will support Talent Acquisition on process enhancement, performance management, and project delivery for Food & Beverage and Culinary recruitment efforts. The Sr. Manager leads the performance management of recruiting professionals supporting aligned functional areas to ensure operational objectives are achieved through defined processes. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for establishing best practices for the Talent Acquisition F&B recruitment team and develop strategies to increase the volume of skilled applicants from restaurant and culinary backgrounds while partnering with functional recruiters to understand the needs of the departments. The Sr. Manager is responsible for providing monthly reporting & analytics on shipboard recruitment, compliance, and strategic plans for continuous improvement.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  Lead, manage, and mentor a team of F&B Talent Acquisition professionals to proactively support the recruitment needs of the organization. Responsible for all aspects of managing a team including but not limited to setting strategy, performance management, hiring coaching, development, and workload balancing.Plan, develop, and implement an effective F&B Talent Acquisition strategy and partnering with senior leadership and hiring teams to identify critical talent needs, and conduct skills gap analyses.Leverage prior experience implementing sourcing strategies to identify and attract top candidates, including passive talent, and build robust talent pipelines.Drive a culture of continuous improvement in talent acquisition processes and strategies, implementing best practices and staying updated with industry trends and technology.Spearhead change initiatives within the F&B Talent Acquisition team, adapting to evolving market conditions and industry trends while inspiring the team to embrace change.Serve as the subject matter expert in talent acquisition strategies to educate internal partners on best practices in sourcing, legal requirements, interviewing skills and other related topics.Ensure consultative partnership and expertise on executing the recruitment lifecycle requirement identification, sourcing strategies, candidate pipeline development, screening, candidate relationship management, selection, negotiation/closings, and pre-onboarding.Collaborate with HR partners and business leadership on the workforce demand to meet overall business targets, as well as the communication of strategy, initiatives, and performance metrics.Monitors recruitment efforts and action plans to ensure that all recruitment processes are done in an effective and timely manner to address all staffing requirements of the company.Ensures that appropriate measures are in place to promote and administer effective and efficient recruitment methods to maximize productivity and output of the recruitment team.Works directly with the Global Sourcing & Talent Programming team to ensure recruitment programs and sourcing strategies are in place to support ongoing hiring needs for the company specifically for F&B and Culinary. Assist Global Sourcing & Talent Programming team and operations on shipboard workforce planning and diversity recruitment planning.Reviews process implementations and comes up with recommendation for continuous improvement.Stays current with current market trends and adjust recruiting approach accordingly.Travels to various international or domestic locations as needed to support recruitment events.Ability to prepares various reports as required including, but not limited to, status reports, talent search reviews, and list of talent pools for shipboard operations.Creates and delivers presentations and training for hiring leaders and recruitment teams as needed.Avoids legal challenges in various markets handled by understanding current legislation; enforcing regulations with managers; recommending new procedures.Monitors and address performance of the recruitment team to meet KPI and metrics, provide recommendations as appropriate.Partners with People Analytics in developing reports to effectively measure recruitment activity metrics.Liaises with SHRSS functional experts to address all aspects of the hiring process - from MLC and customs & immigration compliance to scheduling and travel requirements.Influences partners and peers through positive relationships, credibility, and recruitment expertise.Ensure that recruiting and employment practices are followed.Exercise judgement and mentor team members to troubleshoot & resolve issues as they arise.Utilizes data to measure resource efficiency.Manage analytics for shipboard recruitment on time and accurately to enable data driven decision for requisition allocation and fulfillment. Performs variance analyses as needed and evaluate recruitment performance vs plan, forecast, and prior year.Monitors gap pool status through various dashboard and external factors that may impact talent supply and recruitment strategies.Provides fact-based recommendations to improve recruitment performance, operational efficiency, and marketing effectiveness.Act as the liaison. Coordinate with internal onboarding, scheduling, and IT team to support day by day operational needs and seek process enhancement when possible.Provide training and refresh training to recruitment team and operations.Partners with Global Sourcing & Talent Programming team to provide feedback and recommendations on recruitment marketing activities.Responsible for training, development, performance management, and record managementPerform any other job-relate duties assigned by their supervisor or management.

  Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

  Bachelor's degree in human resources and/ or business administration from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent preferred.Minimum 8 years relevant recruitment experience within hospitality and/or travel industry. Must have previous leadership experience managing a global team.Must have previous experience recruiting for Culinary/Food & Beverage roles.Global talent acquisition experience required. Knowledge of SQM policy and MLC legislation highly recommended.Knowledge of general shipboard functions on a cruise ship, and the general concept of the shipboard organization highly preferred.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve complex problems with a variety of variables. Ability to analyze large datasets and report relevant finding. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; experience and ability to discuss with and influence leadership teams, as well as to collaborate with and influence various clients, stakeholders, and related teams.Ability to handle multiple projects and requisitions simultaneously.Strong project management and time management skills required.Ability to productively work under tight time constraints with competing priorities and potentially stressful situations.Ability to deal appropriately with confidential information.Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to communicate tactfully, verbally and in writing, to gather and relay information in a multinational environment consisting of department heads, managers, and coworkers.Ability to productively work under tight time constraints with competing priorities and potentially stressful situations.Working knowledge of accepted human resources recruitment practices; ability to acquire knowledge of recruitment processes in various countries.Exceptional attention to detail required.Knowledge of world geography, time differences and demographic.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Must have basic Excel skills to include building basic formulas and presenting data using creating charts and graphs.Ability to read, write and speak in English to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, co-workers, and shipboard employees.
