　　In Ecosystem & Operational Risk (EOR) technology group, the Payment Fraud Disruption team is responsible for building critical risk and fraud detection and prevention applications and services at Visa. This includes idea generation, architecture, design, development, and testing of products, applications, and services that provide Visa clients with solutions to detect, prevent, and mitigate fraud for Visa and Visa client payment systems.

　　We are in search of inquisitive, creative, and skillful technologists to join our ranks. We are currently looking for a Senior Manager of Software Engineering who will lead and manage several strategic initiatives within our organization.

　　The right candidate will possess strong software engineering background, with hands on technical skills and leadership experience in driving technical architecture, design and delivery of products and services that have created business value and delivered impact within the payments or payments risk domain or similar industries

　　This position is ideal for an engineering leader who is passionate about collaborating with business and technology partners and engineers to solve challenging business problems. You will be a key driver in the effort to define the shared strategic vision for the Payment Fraud Disruption platform and defining tools and services that safeguard Visa’s payment systems. 

　　To be successful in this role, the candidate need to be a technical leader with the ability to engage in high bandwidth conversations with business and technology partners and be able to think broadly about Visa’s business and drive delivery of solutions that will enhance the safety and integrity of Visa’s payment ecosystem. The candidate will help deliver innovative insights to Visa's strategic products and business. This role represents an exciting opportunity to make key contributions to strategic offering for Visa. This candidate needs to have a strong academic track record and demonstrate excellent software and data engineering background. 　　The ideal candidate will bring the excitement and passion to leverage Generative AI to advance existing fraud detection mechanisms and to innovate and solve new fraud use cases. This engineer will use code generation capabilities like GitHub copilot to drive efficiencies in software development

　　Essential Functions

　　As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering in EOR Technology team, you will lead initiatives to architect, enhance, and build next generation fraud detection platforms in an agile development environment

　　Present technical solutions, capabilities, considerations, and features in business terms. Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner

　　Drive projects that involve full stack development using Java, SpringBoot, NodeJS, Microservices, Rest based APIs, frontend frameworks like Angular and Spark/Scala based processing on Hadoop platform

　　Drive solution architecture and technical architecture with product owners, engineers, and technical product managers to scale products to highly functional, secure, performant, and resilient platforms

　　Lead development teams on projects and be responsible for end-to-end execution and delivery to KPIs on Payment Fraud Disruption platform roadmap commitments

　　Excel in partnership with technical product managers, project managers and product leaders on requirements workshops and grooming, and help define joint product/technology roadmap

　　Drive release planning exercise, track development and testing to timely releases

　　Contribute to financial planning and roadmap planning for new and existing initiatives

　　Collaborate across engineering teams and leaders in EOR, Operations, and Infrastructure (O&I), security and platform teams.

　　Enable and inspire teams to an innovation mindset, high levels of engagement and performance

　　Develop a culture of high levels of accountability and ownership with the team

　　Establish metrics and attain high scores on engineering, delivery excellence, and product performance

　　Communicate for success with partners in program management, product office, operations, and other stakeholders

　　Develop and measure design, code governance and delivery practices to achieve consistent high-quality releases

　　Coach/Mentor/Grow engineers and performance management

　　Hire top software engineers and help build a highly talented engineering organization

　　Manage multiple projects and initiatives with competing timelines and demands.

　　Act decisively on continuous improvements to processes/tools for better developer efficiency and productivity

　　Lead product development with engineering teams across multiple geographies

　　Able to work on multiple projects and initiatives with different/competing timelines and demands.

　　This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

　　Qualifications Basic Qualifications:

　　· 13+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or with an Advanced Degree 

　　· Hands-on engineering leadership experience in building and architecting high performant real time distributed systems and microservices

　　· 3 or more years’ experience leading application development teams on product development

　　· 3 or more years of people management experience

　　· Experience in building large scale distributed data processing systems of high availability, low latency & strong data consistency

　　· Technically savvy and have deep understanding about system architecture and design best practices from building client facing high performant systems with high SLAs

　　· Experience leading full stack development, using some of these technologies- Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Angular, JavaScript, MySQL, Maven, and Design Patterns, Test Automation framework

　　· Experience leading development on Hadoop, using Spark and Scala based large data processing and transaction systems

　　· Experience with SQL/NoSQL technology and familiarity with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server etc.

　　· Solid understanding and preferably working experience with AI/ML technologies

　　· Comprehensive knowledge of secure software development lifecycle and security best practices

　　· Be flexible to adapt to changing directions and priorities

　　· Experience leading, coaching, and growing highly engaged engineering teams

　　· Have great work ethics, and be a team player striving to bring the best results as a team

　　· Experience in roadmap planning and execution to roadmap and KPIs

　　· Experience defining metrics and measuring performance of development teams

　　· Experience leading engineers and teams in multiple geographical locations and time zones

　　· Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and team-building skills, coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely, and to influence and build relationships with key partners.

　　· Experience conducting technical interviews and hiring top engineering talent

　　· Be passionate about delivering zero defect code that meet or exceed the proposed defect SLA and have high sense of accountability for quality and timeliness of one’s own deliverables and team deliverables

　　· Experience working with streaming solutions like Kafka and Caching technologies like Redis, Hazelcast etc is a plus

　　· Knowledge and experience in Web Services, SOA, and messaging systems is a plus

　　· Experience working in a strong DevOps culture is a plus

　　· Experience in card industry or fintech delivering solutions in fraud, risk, or payments space is a plus
