Position Summary
The Total Beverage Alcohol Procurement team focuses on the strategic vision for the company. This highly visible role will require in-depth procurement experience in Strategic Sourcing, Strategy Building, Supplier Relations, and Enterprise-Wide Stakeholder Engagement.
The Senior Strategic Sourcing Category Manager, TBA Procurement - Primary Packaging, provides Strategic Sourcing Leadership across key categories within the entire Constellation Brands TBA (Total Beverage Alcohol) enterprise-wide packaging spend segment. This role owns the development and implementation of long-term, sustainable sourcing strategies in the high value spend areas, with focus on the Glass and Cans categories, to elevate overall category sourcing performance in coordination with the divisional sourcing teams. Leveraging direct and indirect influence, partner with cross-functional business leaders to identify, prioritize and maximize value capturing opportunities. Operating in a matrixed structure, this role will offer subject matter expertise in Primary Packaging specific areas, as well as provide Category Leadership in strategic sourcing category management and best-in-class Procurement policies to the divisional sourcing teams and other internal stakeholders.
Categories include Glass, Cans and PET, supporting various Closures sourcing needs.
Reports to the Senior Director, TBA Procurement, Direct Materials.
Responsibilities
Provide Strategic leadership to divisional-based sourcing leaders and analysts in the US and Mexico with overall accountability for the success of the enterprise-wide TBA Glass, Cans and Primary packaging categories.Candidate must be able to flex their leadership style to adjust to market maturity level, as some divisions will require detailed strategic guidance creating a full end to end vision, where others may require a more collaborative step by step leadership approach.Accountable for the development and execution of TBA-based Procurement strategies for highest spend Packaging categories across multiple divisions.Develop and own the long-term strategic sourcing plans including supplier segmentation, spend management and go to market strategy for major categories.Interface with Procurement peers and internal stakeholders to identify category opportunities and develop sourcing strategies that maximize value for the business.Provide thought leadership and market insights to cross-functional Procurement and Operational teams in a subject matter expert role for key categories.Leverage enterprise-wide visibility as TBA to drive greater development and ongoing use of a thorough and comprehensive Productivity and Continuous Improvement process.Lead key negotiations of contractual agreements to ensure that they meet CBI's business needs, adhere to corporate standards, and financially deliver against our value commitments.Evaluate the implementation of appropriate technology-based sourcing solutions and drive the execution of platforms and tools that drive value in the overall sourcing process.Work closely with Finance Risk Management team to ensure alignment and use of appropriate risk mitigation tools within raw material categories as liaison between Finance and the local teams.Serve as an influential change agent to the broad stakeholder community as it relates to the sourcing and contract execution process.Develop detailed process and Lead Best in Class business reviews with Key suppliers, focused on value delivery and innovative supply improvements.Ensure alignment of business unit category objectives and TBA category KPI's inclusive of annual operating plans and priorities, Cost Savings and Supplier Relationship Management.Work in conjunction with the Procurement Center of Excellence (COE) to ensure available tools and resources are fully leveraged and fit for purpose for use within raw material categories.Deliver upon the OneProcurement Organizational Model with clear Way of Working between TBA Divisions and the COE.Further engagement in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives that support the business strategy, inclusive of our Supplier Diversity Program.Overall TBA Packaging Spend of approximately ~$1.4B annually.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Business-related degree programs.10+ years sourcing and procurement management experience.Sourcing experience within the traditional Beverage Container category; focus areas include strategic sourcing and supplier development, production markets and supply, cost modeling, design to value.Proven track record in delivery of complex, cross-functional procurement initiatives on time and on budget on a global footprint.Ability to operate effectively with an entrepreneurial approach in an often ambiguous environment.In-depth knowledge of and experience in procurement processes (category management, strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier relationship management, and spend analysis), organization, technology required.Strong financial and analytical skills with a high degree of business acumenAbility to effectively lead and motivate a multi-national remote team in a direct or influence only situation.Champion best practice processes, tools, and commitment to provide quality procurement products / customer service.Experience in Procurement systems SAP, Ariba, Zycus at a minimumExcellent interpersonal skills to facilitate change management with colleagues and key contacts throughout Constellation.Expertise in providing high levels of service within a complex customer-service oriented organization.Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiating skills.Must be able to interface at all levels of the organization and with suppliers to solve problems when facing evolving demands.Demonstrated success in leveraging company-wide spend by ensuring the implementation of large/complex agreements.Highly self-motivated with a strong internal drive for results.Strong organizational skills, focused on details, and multi-task oriented.A high degree of problem-solving capability and the ability to drive change and bring others along to drive results with excellent interpersonal, influence and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), familiarity with Source-to-pay tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Beer, wine and/or spirits sector experience preferred.MBA or equivalent preferred.

The salary range for this role is:
$124,200.00 - $198,400.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
