  Position Summary

  This position will be responsible for driving growth in Specialty by 1) building innovative products that secure our position as the market leader in payor focused Specialty solutions and 2) creating disruptive and holistic solutions to address high cost/gene therapy pipeline to ensure best in class management of cost and quality of care. As part of these responsibilities, colleague will be responsible for developing a robust product roadmap based on current and anticipated market trends, and working across the organization to deliver new and market leading solutions to market.

  Responsibilities:

  Gene and High Cost Therapy Innovation

  Gene Therapy

  Build and execute product roadmap that solves payor, provider and patient needs related to emerging gene therapy pipeline, including

  Financial solutions for customers – novel payment plans and risk based products such as stop loss and capitated programs.

  Leverage unique assets across Aetna, PBM, Specialty pharmacy, Coram and Digital to deliver differentiating capabilities that establish CVS as a leader in Gene Therapy

  Build patient engagement, surveillance and other solutions that differentiate and win with manufacturers and enable exclusive and limited access to gene therapies in CVS Specialty

  Partner with marketing on communication strategies and plans to secure and strengthen our leadership position

  Medical Benefit Management (MBM) Solutions

  Collaborate across the organization – Product, Clinical, Operations, Finance, Legal, Sales, Marketing – to develop strategies that provide winning solutions to manage high cost medical drugs in market and in pipeline

  Formulary and coverage strategies (in partnership with Formulary Product, Clinical and other key stakeholders)

  Innovative UM approaches

  Provider strategies and incentive programs

  Patient engagement innovation through digital and other channels.

  Creates and strengthens partnerships within and outside the enterprise to deliver new solutions

  Uses critical thinking, “outside of the box” thinking, and strategy to balance multiple stakeholder needs (e.g., patient, payor, pharma, pharmacy, enterprise)

  Sets Direction:

  Engages in business plan development and proactively anticipate needs that can be addressed with an innovation strategy or solution

  Builds the roadmap to deliver innovation by leading developing, validating, and scaling data driven solutions to maintain market leadership with patient experience, clinical outcomes, and cost management strategies

  Impacts and Influences:

  Develops and maintains productive relationships with all levels

  Fluent at cross functional leadership

  Delivers results

  Plans, develops, and executes short- and long-range innovation, adherence, and digital messaging program goals

  Identifies risk and mitigation strategies to deliver innovation solutions

  Prepares and delivers presentations that translate analytic insights to tangible actionable solutions to implement

  Sets vision and gains aligment from team and cross functional partners; holds individuals and self accountable for results.

  Required Qualifications

  5+ experience leading healthcare product innovation with and in-depth understanding of marketplace dynamics to anticipate and address emerging market needs

  Ability to manage a multi-million P&L and direct a team responsible for developing, building and managing end to end solutions

  Ability to frame complex problems and develop solutions that address multiple interests with

  minimal guidance and direction - trusted team member with considerable autonomy to shape

  strategic direction of offerings.

  Advanced Impact and Influence skills – ability to influence and establish rapport with colleagues

  both senior and junior to him/her.

  Experience working effectively with multiple other teams and driving work forward in a matrix-style organization.

  Ability to achieve established goals while navigating a complex and highly matrix structured

  organization.

  Deep analytical abilities - design business plans and find insights through analytics and to make recommendations for innovation strategy and refinement.

  Ability to travel 1-2x per year.

  Pay Range

  The typical pay range for this role is:

  $79,200.00 - $174,200.00

  This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program. The Company offers a full range of medical, dental, and vision benefits. Eligible employees may enroll in the Company’s 401(k) retirement savings plan, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan is also available for eligible employees.
