The job:
We are currently looking for a Senior Sales Manager to lead and support our Chromatography Consumables Sales team in the EMEA region.
Reporting to the Sr. Director EMEA North you will provide sales, product management and 'product champion' support for the Thermo Fisher Scientific Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Chromatography Consumables Sales products assigned to the commercial teams to ensure order and sales volumes are achieved through active Sales and Prospects Management.
This role is a senior level commercial position chartered to create and implement strategies and tactics to achieve sales and market share objectives. A critical function of the role will be to work with divisional and regional management to communicate the market and customer needs, and to coordinate efforts to drive business through the creation of a commercial plan for the Chromatography Consumables category of Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry portfolio. Reporting to senior management, you will effectively manage your team through establishing goals and objectives, measuring performance, coaching, hiring and performing annual performance evaluations.
This is a field-based role which can be based anywhere in Europe, providing you live near a major airport hub. The position requires travel up to 60% of the time, sometimes on short notice. When not travelling, you will be able to work from home.

What will you do?
Provide strong strategic and operational commercial leadership to the EMEA Chromatography Consumables Sales (CCS) teams and across channel partners to ensure bookings and revenue targets are metFocus on achieving meaningful growth and increasing market share through developing the right organisational structure and networks Collaborate closely with Chromatography Consumables business unit to ensure we have the relevant portfolio offering, positioning strategy, and marketing programs to accelerate market share growthProduce & deliver Annual Sales Plan in line with each country requirementsEffectively manage your team of direct reports, measuring personal and team success against direct sales plan, and making the necessary challenges, interventions and decisions to successfully deliver, or exceed plan expectationsEnsure that teams operate within CMD goal tree in areas of revenue growth, sales process optimization, expense control, productivity as well as organizational and employee developmentAdopt and live 4I values, ensuring and driving alignment across all business areas and divisions
Who we are looking for:
Extensive sales experience, with at least 3 years as a people leader (direct people manager)Bachelor's degree in a Science or Business related subjectMBA/other financial degree or qualification is desirableStrong leadership track record, to include leading within a matrixed environment with the ability to inspire, influence and lead othersDemonstrated commitment to the customerExcellent interpersonal skills, both written and oralFamiliarity with commercial sales and marketing tools to gather and understand the market preferredFluent in English; additional European languages an advantageValid driving licenceWilling & able to travel internationally as required (c.60% per annum, including regular overnight stays)Demonstrate Thermo Fisher Scientific values - Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and InvolvementDemonstrate Role Model Leader characteristicsEmbody the 4-I valuesDelight customersCommunicate openly and honestlyFocus on growthChampion employee development
