Job Description
The Sr. Manager of PPI Business Systems and PMO is responsible for the implementation of Thermo Fisher Scientific's Continuous Improvement Business System, Practical Process Improvement (PPI) and leadership of Project Management Office (PMO) in Latin America. In this role, you will work closely with business leadership and steering committees to establish and mature the PPI Business System, Project Management, and other Lean tools to efficiently manage businesses.
This position will be site based in Sao Paulo, Brazil and will have a travel expectation of 20%.
Job Responsibilities
Lead/work with commercial and functional teams to enhance processes to improve customer experience and spread an action-biased culture and critical metrics.Lead corporate PMO in Latin America, focusing on strategy execution, development of project management capabilities, and proper prioritization.Drive impactful results directly linked to leader's key performance indicators beyond simple problems and projects.Improve problem-solving capabilities within teams to increase autonomy and pace of change.Manage PPI/PMO project funnel to guarantee the team is addressing priority topics in the region.Develop a plan to train colleagues on PPI/PMO tools.Monitor and report savings and productivity generated from projects.Ensure that there is a solid mechanism to review projects.Manage complex/strategic projects as a project manager.Work with the global PPI team to promote/standardize the PPI Business System further and share best practices.

Experience
Extensive experience and a 'hands-on' track record of implementing results using continuous improvement business systems including elements such as:Strategy Deployment, Gemba, KPIs, and value-stream mapping.Advanced project management skills.Expertise in problem-solving applying a formal program/process.A Lean Practitioner mindset with 3+ years of experience and a 'hands-on' track record of leading teams indirectly to achieve results.Solid experience in project management and deep knowledge in project management tools and best practices.Hands-on experience in managing cross functional projects and teams throughout all levels of business.Proven record for developing and training teams.
Education
Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, operations, or business, with evidence of operational, leadership, or professional experienceFluency in English and Spanish languages.Lean Six Sigma Certification desired.
