Summary
The Senior Manager of Indirect Procurement is responsible for leading and handling the indirect procurement function for the company. This includes leading all aspects of the sourcing, negotiation, and management of contracts for a variety of indirect spend categories within supply chain. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that support the company's overall business goals. Supplier Accountability, Productivity, and Continuity are keys to success.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development of medium and long term strategies for Supply Chain Indirect categories to meet regional and global business expectations Development of a supplier strategy, crafting and coordinating RFXs, negotiations, contracting, and other sourcing management functions Develop productive working relationships with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Legal, Marketing/Creative, Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, and Procurement Complete the 8-step sourcing process for the indirect category Drive productivity goals and build pipeline of projects Use and continue the development of e-sourcing, e-intake, and e-pipeline through Workday Strategic Sourcing and Ariba Sourcing Lead partner engagement and alignment throughout the end-to-end sourcing process Collaborate with department leaders to establish both short and long-term business objectives. Identify, develop, and handle strategic business relationships to enable implementation of the corporate growth strategy and new product development initiatives Drive continuous improvement through industry standard processes and other indicators to supervise and measure the efficiency and service level of the procurement department Identify metrics, tools, and processes to optimize sourcing strategies. Develop and implement protocols and practices to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of critical initiatives. Anticipates key supplier problems that could affect supply. Resolves issues that arise. Implement sourcing and negotiation strategies for key spend areas Use Procurement expertise to develop in-depth knowledge of suppliers and evaluate their capabilities to help drive solutions for internal business partners. Ensure continuity of supply through the development of business continuity plans Assess supplier agreement opportunities and negotiate on behalf of the company. Ability to improve corporate buying power and identify corporate partners. Make recommendations crafted to reduce costs and improve value. Develop and negotiate business terms and conditions including penalties and incentives provisions Evaluate vendors and ensure quality of service. Drive the procurement execution process, resolve problems, mitigate delays, help to mediate disputes, and call out issues. Continue to develop standard policy and procedures for the organization Adhere to the highest service quality standards as well as bring innovative new insights to the team. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related field. Master's Degree or MBA strongly preferred 7+ years of business experience in all aspects of sourcing processes including relationship management, contract negotiation and project management; or equivalent professional experience in other closely related fields/industries Master communicator to be able to outline vision, implement strategy and sell to the broader organization A robust knowledge of the external factors that drive internal decisions - industry leading insight, global understanding of the various markets that influence cost and availability of supply Experience, knowledge, and shown success with a food manufacturer preferred Understands contract management and ability to execute complicated contracts with the support of the legal team Obsession and passion for excellence Strategic thinker and problem solver with excellent business judgment A financial and analytical competence with experience in setting strategy, leading ground-breaking change and major project management. In addition, experienced in designing and improving business process to increase operational efficiency Demonstrated track record in implementing comprehensive sourcing programs and cost-reduction initiatives Ability to balance the relationship of suppliers, with the needs of the business. Compensation Range: $113,600.00 - $170,400.00, plus bonus.
