DePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson is the largest, most innovative and comprehensive orthopaedic and neurological business in the world is recruiting for a Senior Manager, New Business to be located in one of the Johnson & Johnson MedTech locations.
Responsibilities
Achieve or exceed sales objectives
Hire, lead, and build the most effective remote sales and account management team in the industry
Collaborate with senior management on the development and accountability of the remote sales team
Develop and execute a strategic, tactical, and operational business plan with the goal of improving financial performance and increasing market share for the Ambulatory Sales team
Develop and update a national remote sales and market development plan in coordination with the Field ASC Directors. This plan encompasses identifying high-potential physician and Ambulatory Surgery Center customers, revenue and capital placement forecasts, and market development opportunities.
Develop and continually facilitate partnerships between enterprise and Platform sales management, marketing, offer development, legal and contracting to implement business plan strategies and contracts to achieve/exceed ASC sales objectives within the assigned geographic area
Enable the remote business development team to:
Develop and execute multi-platform and multi-capital ASC deal strategies. This is a highly collaborative effort across all DePuy Synthes platforms and possibly J&J MedTech enterprises.
Implement a thorough account planning process to align local sales team on specific account level strategies, objectives, and timelines
Co-develop strategic business plans that span DPS businesses, identify relevant customer needs, prioritize initiatives, company investments, and establish a clear action plan for success
Own/lead the negotiation process with the ASC customer
This role will be accountable for cross functional team collaboration across the business platforms, understanding the value of DPS products and services, and negotiating on behalf of DPS
Provide direction and leadership to exceed revenue, margin, operating profit, market share, and customer satisfaction goals for a remote commercial organization covering the United States
Implement effective sales strategies, and policies and develop new sales channel opportunities
Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with DePuy Synthes personnel and management Analyze market trends, identify key growth opportunities, expand existing and identify new markets
Maintain deep knowledge of the company's products and competitor products to differentiate and position the company’s offerings effectively
Develop and implement effective strategies for customer retention and upselling
Monitor sales analytics and KPIs to ensure team targets are achieved.
Regularly report to senior management on sales performance, market trends, and competitive analysis
Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team, ensuring they have the tools and skills to achieve sales targets
Oversee and manage the development and performance of the remote team
Provide leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values
Develop and execute ongoing touch points for the remote sales team to ensure strategy is being implemented effectively:
Onboarding for new hires
National Sales Meetings
Trainings
Facilitate regular training sessions to keep the team updated on Ambulatory Center services/offerings and industry trends
Cultivate strong relationships with thought leaders and key opinion leaders across the nation and share these relationships with key individuals in the Company
Attend and present at industry conferences workshops and seminars to establish the company as a thought leader in the Ambulatory Surgery Center space
Monitor industry trends and collaborate with the executive team to identify new business development opportunities
Cultivate a robust talent development plan to build a market-leading organization and culture
Create, execute, and document quarterly development plans for each sales representative, aligned with mutually identified areas for improvement
Serve as the market experts within the business: understanding customer's current and future requirements, strengths, and weaknesses of competitors' products, and how to effectively differentiate DePuy Synthes Ambulatory Surgery Center offerings
Ensure that the national territory operates within budgetary guidelines
Adhere to all Company policies, instructions, and directives to fulfill Company objectives and maximize profitable revenue.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
A minimum of 5 years related business experience required
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a highly regulated clinical environment required
Remote selling of medical technology into complex organizations preferred: OEM, re-furbished, or assistive technology
Proven experience of strong business acumen, contract negotiation, communication skills, analytical skills, and the ability to influence others
Proven people management experience required - Hire, lead, and build remote sales/account management team
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work in a hands–on, fast paced, customer focused environment.
