About the Role & Team
We are a dynamic fast-paced team supporting Disney Experiences! We are hiring for a Sr. Manager, Labor Relations to support our Team in Anaheim, CA. The Sr. Manager, Labor Relations leads a team of LR professionals in the day-to-day administration and interpretation of site-specific collective bargaining agreements through consultations, grievances and resolution of labor-management issues. This position also assists in project managing union contract negotiations, effects bargaining and arbitrations.
What You Will Do
Serve as a role model for diversity and inclusion, while providing strong and inspired day-to-day leadership to 15 (WDW) / 10 (DLR) labor relations team members.
Execute the strategy of core day-to-day Labor Relations services and provide counsel on consultations, grievances, negotiations, arbitrations and effects bargaining.
Facilitate ongoing communication and working relationships with union representatives to resolve issues/concerns at the appropriate level.
Support site-specific negotiations efforts as first chair for contract negotiations and effects bargaining, which have a ripple effect on overall, bi-coastal bargaining strategy and approach.
Manage the day-to-day regarding team members, including making hiring decisions, providing onboarding, coaching and training, setting priorities and assigning work, implementing discipline, and setting and assessing progress towards goals.
Oversee the direction of team members who perform investigations and responses to governmental agencies (e.g. NLRB, EEOC and other federal, state or local agencies), using strong written/verbal communication, fact finding and analytical skills.
Prepare reports, using records of action concerning grievances, arbitration case, and labor relations activities, to identify problem areas and trends.
Lead the implementation of Company strategy for arbitrations, including preparation, engagement with external counsel and acting as the Company representative.
Assist with the administration of Taft-Hartley employee benefit plans.
Conduct periodic Labor Relations training sessions for Company decision makers.
Responsible for timely and accurate archiving of work via a case management system.
Perform other job-related duties as requested.
Required Qualifications & Skills
3-5 years of leadership experience in Labor Relations, Human Resources, or equivalent (e.g. negotiations preparation, bargaining, implementation and administration of Collective Bargaining Agreements)
Strong understanding of all aspects of labor and employment laws including, but not limited to NLRA, Title VII, EEO, ADA, and FMLA; and, associated employment laws
Ability to communicate with different audiences and represent the Company in a professional manner
Ability to multi-task and balance numerous priorities in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office products and willingness to learn new systems
Preferred Qualifications
JD or equivalent training and accreditation

Bachelor’s Degree preferably in field of Industrial Labor Relations, Labor Law or equivalentThe hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is 145,100 to $199,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
