THE ROLE : The Sr. Manager, International Tax Planning will lead all US international tax planning matters and support on global tax initiatives. This role will be a key member of the global tax strategy team and have broad exposure throughout the organization. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Oversight of key US international tax calculations including GILTI, Subpart F, FTC, §163j, BEAT, FDII
Establish/maintain Pillar 2 reporting and compliance processes and controls. Communicate Pillar 2 impact on the annual effective tax rate and provide strategic recommendations
Monitoring proposed and enacted global legislative changes and modeling their impact
Develop and implement tax planning initiatives and transactions, including scenario modeling and research
Provide advisory support for tax audits, tax accounting, and tax compliance
Provide tax advice and monitoring regarding cross-border transactions & M&A
Oversight on annual determination of Xylem’s position regarding the undistributed earnings of its foreign subsidiaries, under ASC 740 rules
Identification and evaluation of tax risk, including involvement in FIN 48 process.
Review of US international portion of global tax provision and US tax return.
Interface with business units, strategy, treasury and other business leaders
Direct and manage tax consultants
Tax lead on cross functional teams
Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities
QUALIFICATIONS :
Masters degree in Taxation / CPA or Law Degree preferred
6-10+ years of tax experience
Significant U.S. international tax knowledge with preferred experience in GILTI, Subpart F, FTC, §163j, BEAT, FDII
Experience with income tax reporting standards, including ASC 740, ASC 805, among others
Undergraduate degree in accounting or equivalent
Experience in a complex, global environment
SALARY :
The estimated salary range at this professional level is $127,500 to $185,000plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
