Your Mission:
The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging team is looking for a Sr. Manager, Employee Engagement and Belonging to oversee a myriad of exciting projects to support inclusion, engagement and belonging. Reporting to the Vice President, Global Head, DEIB, you will create and implement a global portfolio of employee engagement events, programs and activities that support and develop a sense of community, connection and belonging at Medidata from ideation to execution.
Primary Responsibilities:
You will lead the end-to end event planning process including creative ideation, execution, pre and post event communications, and budget management, tracking, and post event analytics aligned to KPIs. You will have a global focus which includes the NYC metro area locations (New York City and Iselin, NJ), and 10 other cities within the United States, Europe and Asia Pacific regions. Types of programming includes Heritage and Awareness Month Celebrations, (i.e., Black History Month, Women's History, LGBTQIA+ Pride, Hispanic Heritage; Lunar New Year, Diwali), Regional Summer and Winter Parties, Halloween Party, "Take Your Kids" to Work Campaign, and Allies & Advocates programming.
• Operate across a global, cross-cultural landscape to create and own execution of programs and activities for each location.
• Establish productive and credible working relationships across all Global locations with key partners and senior executives.
• Research venues and vendors for catering, entertainment, and "swag"
• Interview vendors and negotiate prices.
• Partner with Finance to set up vendors and process invoice, manage employee reimbursement and department approvals.
• Coordinate safety walkthrough, sound checks and run of show (in person and/or virtual) for all locations,
• Recap story and photos in all external and internal Comms
• Create global Events Calendar
• Track and Measure Engagement and impact through surveys, focus groups and trend analysis.
• Relaunch Global Employee Engagement Council
• Coach and advise internal Employee Resource Groups with their event programming and initiatives.
• Research and use best practices and latest trends in employee engagement programming and planning.
Your Competencies:
• Creative and imaginative event planning and management experience.
• Self-starter and operates with a sense of urgency.
• Establish collaborative working relationships with others.
• Have managed multiple projects, delivered on time and within budget, made rational decisions, and function as part of a team.
• Hybrid role, two days in office and for on-site events.
Your Education and Experience:
• Minimum Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• 10+ years' experience in planning, producing and implementing large scale, global events
The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $114,750 to $153,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
