Position Summary:
The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for Finance, Reporting, Analysis and Business support for Gas Chromatography and Trace Elemental business units, a $310M global business. This role reports to the Sr Finance Director of AAT. A key aspect of the role is the business partnering with the business unit team. Requires financial leadership to grow the business and drive efficiency across all functions including financial judgement in long terms investments, as well includes ownership of the Full P&L. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the monthly/quarterly financial and management forecasting and reporting process, analyze full P&L, including financial management to achieve predictable outcomes
Independent analysis of P&L includes all metrics and analysis reporting with recommendations.
Support booking and revenue forecasting, including alignment with regional team and factory team.
Collaborate with operations leaders, product management, and marketing to drive the monthly global SIOP process as well as business growth in a profitable way.
Providing meaningful financial information as a basis for business decisions
Modelling the impact of EBITA and profitability on different business dynamics and recommending measures to improve them.
Identify and develop initiatives to constantly improve performance of the business, including margin expansion (product mix, pricing, efficiency)
Management of consolidation activities around the annual budget (AOP) and the strategic plan (STRAP)
Collaborate with all functions to capture business drivers and simplify financial performance into actionable narratives and report on business performance to the AAT Sr. Finance Director and GMs
Independent and continuous improvement and standardization of reporting and flexible use of new methods or tools during implementation
Carry out special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as the need arises.
Lead 2 financial analysts including training, mentoring and development including develop assigned staff to promote continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
8+ years of progressive experience in Finance leadership roles. Experience in leading global business preferred.
BA degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics or related field desired
Hyperion, PLN and advanced Excel/Access required.
Deep understanding of business intelligence platforms including Power BI, Domo, etc.
Self-motivated; high bias for action and timely project completion
Strong analytical skills with experience in developing business processes and system improvements to drive efficiency
Effective verbal and written communication skills, able to summarize and present information in a concise and effective manner
Demonstrates strong leadership skills and an initiative/creativity to inspire change with a hands-on approach and a driven focus on results
