Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Cascade strategic objectives from Segment, Business Unit and Operations functional leadership into manufacturing and product technology.
• Develop and implement production strategy following the product and Subvertical technology roadmap short-, mid- and longterm and elaborate a comprehensive milestone and resource plan to achieve it.
• Work actively with engineering, product marketing and sales to feel market pulse and ensure continuous strategy alignment
• Set up the reporting governance on Center of Competence: plan and implement a communications plan focused on content and frequency which helps drive the delivery of key messages and business outcomes on a regular/frequent basis.
• Design and develop production processes affecting Relay manufacturing, esp. molding, stamping, annealing, plating and high volume assembly processes in a very tight tolerance range
• Discuss product specifics of the different types of Industrial Relays and link market and customer requirement into actionable production technology design features.
• Drives improvement with external partners (suppliers, customers) and inside our operations community (Center of excellence, other plants in and outside the region) to ensure state of the art manufacturing technology
• Support production activities with the objective of maximizing the use of organizational resources to meet and/or exceed established targets for TEOA (LEAN), Safety, Quality, Performance, Delivery and Cost.
• Ensure a safe working environment with zero incidents and initiatives to improve safety in the manufacturing technology perspective.
• Proactively partner with supportive functions like procurement, engineering, plant operations, HR, legal in a matrix to ensure the support and resources needed.
• Ability to align, coordinate and communicate with cross functional teams
• Ability to work with engineering team on project priorities, capacity expansion and other automation initiatives
• official PROXY of the plant manager, ability to represent TE in external environment
• Measure performance (results and behaviors) while providing timely performance feedback and coaching.
• Mentor, coach and engage team.
Experience & Education
• Minimum 10+ years of experience required
• Minimum 3+ year's management experience required. Experience in manufacturing or production environment desired
• Prior experience managing a team of direct and matrixed reports preferred
• Prior experience in supply chain, materials or operations management preferred
• Strong demonstrated engineering/technical acumen and finance/financial acumen preferred
• 4-Year College Degree Preferred. Technical discipline preferred.
• Advanced degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or MBA preferred.
