The Sr. Manager, Operations will own the oversight of day-to-dayactivities and execution of Carrier Support Operations within Brokerage.This includes managing 4 managers in Chicago, and 4 (dotted lined)managers in Monterrey, MX. They will direct their team to providingstrong carrier and customer service. They will multitask and continuallycollaborate with internal and external partners to ensure OKRs areachieved. Extensive knowledge, experience and management in a Brokerageenvironment is a critical success factor to the position.
What the Candidate Will Do
Employee Development Ownership (Coaching, Mentoring, Hiring, etc.)Monitor and hold team accountable for all key job functionsEngage Employees as business partners on a regular basis to discusscareer development, current performance, accountability and trainingopportunities (cross-account, cross-functional, etc.)Meet or exceed annual OKR and KPI targets.Develop, grow and maintain strong relationships through consistentand professional communications; effective, prompt and courteouscommunications with respect to difficult situations, relayingfailures, etc.Proactively identify and communicate issues, propose and implementsolutions for continuous improvement in regards to processes, costservice and profitabilityPartner with StratOps team on Support initiatives and priorities.Basic Qualifications
3-5 years of people management experience3-5 years of experience working directly with internal crossfunctional collaboratorsLogistics/freight experiencePreferred Qualifications
