Job Title: Senior Instrument Representative, Human Identification
Location: Remote - US Southeast (AL, GA, FL, KY, TN)
The Instrument representative in Human Identification (HID) is responsible for continuing to grow the company's business. The successful candidate will combine sales skills, technical expertise and overall territory and business management. They will be responsible for selling the HID portofolio which includes products and services to HID and Law Enforcement accounts in an assigned regional territory. Their primary objective will be to drives sales, marketing, and customer support in the individual territory and in support of the North America team.
Primary responsibilities include:
Field Sales Account Management for forensic laboratories and law enforcement. Development and execution of effective sales strategies to increase adoption of HID products and RapidDNA technology within the territory which includes public and private crime labs, law enforcement agencies, coroners and medical examiners. Understanding and assessing customer goals and building value propositions that represent solutions from the HID portfolio. Forecasting, funnel management, preparing business reviews, participating in sales meetings and collaborating with business development partners.
Job Skills
Must have the probing skills to develop knowledge of accounts and key customers, and to interpret customer's needs and propose solutions.Existing technical knowledge of the HID portfolio including instruments and consumables.Use team-selling skills to work with other company representatives to increase overall sales revenue in forensic accounts.Exhibits effective communication through customer interactions or presentations to clearly articulate company/HID value propositions.Proven business skills including accurate forecasting and robust funnel management.
Job Knowledge
Knowledge of the forensic and law enforcement industry, preferredOverall product knowledge and relevant applications for all products associated with Capillary Electrophoresis, Quantitative PCR and Rapid DNA technology.Knowledge of competitor products and differentiating features.Understanding customer decision making process and key decision makers and influencersExperience navigating complex sales across an organization, particularly in state and local government.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Molecular Biology or equivalent experience.Completion of graduate-level coursework or advanced degree preferred.Requires at least 5 years of successful sales (and/or support) experience of analytical instruments and/or related consumable products.Ability to travel at least 60%.
