As a Sr. Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) supporting our Manufacturing and Quality business units,you will be trusted to work on proactively solving HR issues and implementing policies that align with the business needs at our Houston, TX campus.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Defining strategies, including staffing, talent placement, compensation, roles, and responsibilities, and solve sophisticated interpersonal challenges through people-related solutions.Working with business leaders to solve any people and cultural issues, providing expertise in technical and regulatory aspects of employment including hiring, termination, performance management, rewards, etc.Supporting the talent aspects of organization structure changes, talent integration related to mergers & acquisitions.Discussing the business value of HR initiatives, leading HR program roll out to minimize business disruptionAligning with business and talent management on key initiatives such as workforce planning, hi-potential employee development, interpersonal planning, etc.WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English5 Years of Demonstrable ExperienceDemonstrable ability to grasp and understand the business, key drivers and related people.Strong critical thinking capabilities.Outstanding analytical skills with effective judgment and decision making capabilities.Experience working within a regulated environment and adhering to Federal, State and local legal requirements as they relate to management and reducing legal risks.HOW YOU CAN THRIVE AT ALCON:Benefit from a growing, innovative environment.Sharpen your current skills and gain exposure within different areas of the business.Join Alcon's mission to provide outstanding, innovative products and solutions to improve sight and improve lives!Work hours: Hybrid-One day per week from home.Travel Requirements: 5%Relocation assistance: NoSponsorship available: No#LI-DNI
