The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst within our Abbott Rapid Diagnostics business located at Lake Forest, IL. In this role, you will ensure the Infectious Disease Division leadership has accurate and timely financial data to support decision making. This opportunity with Abbott’s Infectious Disease Division (ID) finance team is for a result driven and well-organized individual with strong analytical, communication, financial systems, and Excel skills. This role reports to the Infectious Disease Division HQ’s Sr. FP&A Manager and will primarily be responsible for various RLBE/Planning and month-end activities.
Responsibilities
Support the ID LBE/Planning Process, including the development of region templates, P&L consolidation, uploading forecasts in planning system, and completing Corporate finance templates with commentary and explanations of significant variances.
Prepare and consolidate LBE Confirmations.
Prepare ID Actuals P&L with comparisons vs. Benchmarks.
Provide support on monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables including analysis of trends and comparisons vs. benchmarks, and preparation of monthly Actuals package.
Support preparation of executive level presentations for internal reviews
Prepare journal entries and assist in month end close as needed to ensure proper accounting at the functional level.
Perform ad-hoc analyses and schedules based on needs of Finance leadership and ARDx management to support decision-making process.Deliver quality results within established deadlines.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors’ in Finance/ Accounting, Business, or Economics or similar.
Minimum of 4 years finance/accounting experience in a fast-paced work environment with frequent deadlines; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
Up to 5% travel is possible for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working with large amounts of data and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Solid accounting knowledge and strong technical systems skills such as SAP and Hyperion preferred.
Strong analytical, problem solving, variance analysis skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of internal clients. Flexible and well-organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

The base pay for this position is $72,700.00 – $145,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
