SageGlass®, a wholly owned subsidiary of Saint-Gobain, located in Faribault, MN, produces electronically tintable glass for windows, skylights, and curtain walls. It tints automatically or on demand to control sunlight, without shades or blinds. SageGlass transforms the indoor experience by controlling sunlight to optimize daylight, outdoor views and comfort while preventing glare, fading and overheating without the need for blinds or shades.

We are NOW hiring a Sr Engineering Project Manager to join our Team!
What's the job?
The Sr Engineering Project Manager will be a key contributor on the Engineering Team at SageGlass. The primary focus will be on project engineering and management, design, research, prototyping, product and process improvements, engineering documentation, and production equipment improvements and troubleshooting. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality, from conception to completion.
Essential Functions:
Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projectsMonitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specificationsInteract with vendors/suppliers: selection, interview, monitor progress, develop solutions, etcPerform overall quality control of the work: budget, schedule, plans, and personnel's performance and report regularly on project statusAssign responsibilities and mentor project teamCooperate and communicate effectively with customer and other project participants to provide assistance and technical supportReview engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actionsParticipates, as required, in the shared responsibility for all product safety and compliance, as required by Saint GobainOther tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications
What do you bring?
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required6+ years' experience in mechanical engineering, project management, equipment design or related experience requiredExperience with glass related equipment, robotics, vacuum deposition/thin film deposition, or cleanroom experiences is a plusStrong DFM (design for manufacturing) skills requiredWell-versed in material properties, compatibilities, and fabrication techniques desirableProven working experience as a project engineer requiredExperience with highly automated factory systems (MES, Control system and HMI knowledge, Safety, Vision systems, KPI, Automated data collection) preferredSolidWorks 3D CAD experience preferredExperience with DCF payback models like NPV and IRRExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAdvanced MS Office skillsFamiliarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standardsAbility to work with multiple discipline projectsSolid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etcDecision making ability and leadership skillsTime management and organization skillsExperience with AutoCADExperience with capital purchase requests and processPresentation skills, be able to persuade an audience.Leadership skills with an emphasis on managing without authorityAbility to travel up to 10% of the time
