connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world
using a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites
Key job responsibilities
Project Kuiper’s Technical Program Management (TPM) team is looking for a detail-oriented, high-energy Engineering Program Specialist (EPS) to manage builds of prototype and production printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs).
As an EPS you will be a key stakeholder during the development of a new and exciting product. You will be ensuring the product development phases are well defined and organized by taking ownership of the following tasks:
Work with engineers and sourcing managers to plan hardware development builds during the NPI process
Create detailed hardware build and bringup schedules based on input from engineers and sourcing managers.
Proactively gather hardware requests from stakeholders and escalate for
prioritization if necessary
Work with stakeholders and engineers to define build configurations and
communicate those to sourcing manager
Ensure material requirements are communicated to teams delivering parts,
taking lead times into account
Track, manage, and communicate hardware configurations and build and
bringup schedules
Partner with sourcing manager on build readiness meetings with Contract
Manufacturer and Engineering
Track prototype hardware from request to allocation, redistribution, and
collection
Bill of Material revision management

A day in the life
This role requires management of complex PCBA and device builds in a complex and dynamic environment. The candidate needs to understand the prototype build constrains, analyze the current situation, and identify a path forwards.
About the team
The team is highly technical in ASIC, antenna, SW, and electrical functions. The team shares knowledge and is cohesive to achieve the Kuiper mission.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of product management experience
Experience managing technical products or online services
Experience in product, program, or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of SQL and VBA at an advanced level
Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $93,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
