Job Description Summary
The Engineering Program Manager (EPM) will manage New Product Development (NPD) and sustaining projects of Unison electrical, fluid delivery, and thermal management components. Projects will predominantly be permanent magnet alternators, power electronics and regulators, harnesses, temperature sensors and probes, ignition products, fluid delivery systems, heat exchanger systems, and new technology initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities
The EPM will be responsible for providing engineering guidance and technical direction to cross functional teams to ensure business objectives and hardware deliveries are achieved. The EPM will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy. The Principal Duties & Responsibilities include the following:
Overall ownership and accountability of assigned projects and programs from launch through productionBe the primary technical customer point of contact for assigned programsExecute with limited guidance and meet business practices and procedures, and product / program requirementsRecommend approaches to meet technical and program requirementsFormulate and implement plans to achieve scope management, technical requirements, budgets, schedules, and contract commitmentsDevelop action and risk mitigation plans, to anticipate and respond to problemsProvide technical guidance to other personnel and assigned teamsIdentify program and hardware risks and develop risk mitigation strategiesCoordinate with NPD team / manufacturing to ensure on time hardware deliveriesMentor others in the organizationAssure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and / or tasks consistent with engineering policies and proceduresMonitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developmentsLead or participate in organizational efforts of assigned projects and / or tasksParticipate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviewsInterpret and clarify customer technical expectationsWork with the Development Team to meet internal unit cost and develop cost targetsDefine and maintain technical compliance to customer requirementsWrite technical proposals and present technical information to customersAbility and availability to travel up to 30% Domestic and International
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aeronautical EngineeringMinimum of 5 years of experience leading design and/or development of new products

The base pay range for this position is $121,500.00 - $160,000.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on January 12, 2024.
