US Marketing Enablement team serves as a strategic partner to and primary interface into the Chief Marketing Office (CMO) for US and Global priority in-line brand teams to drive brand performance and marketing excellence, and innovation among brand teams.
This is a new senior marketing role at Pfizer Biopharma Group, directly reporting to the US Marketing Enablement Lead within the Commercial Excellence & Enablement Organization in the CMO and will serve as the pivotal partner to the US and Global Marketing Teams, enabling CMO's expertise, solutions, and capabilities to enhance business performance and drive marketing effectiveness and efficiency towards our blueprint goal of building the world's most effective commercial engine.
The Marketing Enablement for Oncology role is an opportunity to bring marketing excellence to life at Pfizer. This critical role will work closely with US brand teams to support accelerated application of new, best-in-class marketing tools and capabilities, and the new marketing excellence framework to elevate marketing performance and increase mROI.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITY
US Marketing Enablement role is responsible for enabling an integrated marketing model among CMO and US/Global therapeutic area / product marketing teams serving as a strategic partner with strong brand/business acumen to ensure consistency of capability, effective ways of working, and marketing excellence framework implementation, to accelerate performance and enhance marketing effectiveness. Key responsibilities of this senior marketing role are;
Serve as primary liaison between BU marketing leadership and CMO ;
Build deep expertise of CMO strategic imperatives and value drivers (i.e. new capabilities, platforms/processes, marketing excellence standards) - pull through communications, ensure awareness and understanding across US business leadership and marketing teams
Bridge brand team to the CMO expertise areas in order to achieve strategic brand objectives
Simplify navigation across the CMO, including triage and escalation and troubleshooting for priority products.
Deeply understand both the brand priorities and CMO value drivers, and anticipate how/when to bring CMO expertise & centralized support to brand teams to support of business goals and increase MROI
Anticipate business needs and priorities of product teams where CMO value drivers can enable faster/better execution and impact.
Act as an enabler in building a strong marketing performance culture and adoption of new marketing capabilities across the brand teams.
Take on shared goals/accountability to drive specific brand objectives and demonstrate business impact.
Support consistent implementation of the new marketing excellence framework by US marketing teams
Identify and help address any gaps in marketing plans and implementation against marketing excellence standards.
Assess brand marketing performance across the marketing funnel and offer/support solutions to maximize MROI (HCP and Consumer marketing)
Be the catalyst to activate innovative initiatives by brand teams with CMO expertise and identify/cross-pollinate innovation across the business.
Support visibility of cross product/TA MROI, and bring right decision makers/business leaders to facilitate trade off decisions for investment choices based on MROI .
Demonstrate matrix leadership and build successful collaborative partnerships with US and global marketing leadership and brand teams, CoLab partners and IAT, Marketing and Sales Effectiveness teams, Biopharma operations, CMO teams brining subject matter expertise and value drivers in media planning, customer engagement and technology, innovation, Pfizer branding and Commercial Analytics. Ensure effective implementation of new ways of working with Global Marketing Team and leverage learnings and best practices from other regional enablement teams as applicable to US.
Enable continuous improvement and simplification of ways of working among CMO and brand/business teams by bringing brand and business inputs/insights to Commercial Excellence & Enablement LT and CMO LT to inform CMO priorities, planning and implementation considerations
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred
15+ years of experience in marketing across pharma and other industries in the US
Broad knowledge of Life Sciences and healthcare ecosystems in the US market is preferred.
Track record of strong networking and working collaboratively across functions
Successful track record of creating and executing marketing strategies in the US with accountability for decisions and business outcomes; experience with both launch and in-line brands is a plus
Strong analytical skills to conduct root cause analyses to diagnoses and prioritize the right problem/solution (i.e., solve the cause, not the symptom)
Lead cross-functional and cross-business projects and initiatives, identifying risks and removing roadblocks to enable the teams to achieve successful delivery
Demonstrating executive presence and strong leadership capabilities including: the ability to effectively influence senior leaders, engage and collaborate other leaders/peers, guide/support the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $191,300.00 to $309,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
