Visa is launching a new NA CNP authentication and enhanced authorization program to aggressively tackle the rising CNP fraud, boost authorization approval rates and increase our authentication revenue. We need of a strong technology leader, someone with substantial experience in identity and authentication, to spearhead the implementation of the NA Authentication Program.
The successful candidate will be comfortable navigating challenging forces in the dynamic payments space and leading teams responsible for our North America (NA) Authentication Program, this candidate will play a pivotal role in combating growing card fraud and growing Visa’s authentication revenue.
Essential Functions
Responsible for the overall development life cycle with significant bottom-line impact.Deliver products with complex technical interdependencies collaborating with cross geographical development and product teams. Collaborate with Product Office, Operations & Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Client Support and other Product Development teams in developing complete solutions.Build a culture of engineering excellence (quality, security, performance, scalability, availability, resilience etc.) across your own teams and the entire organization.Partner with product owners in developing a strategy and roadmap that align with business goals.Drive down technical debt and manage costs within your product and organization budgets.Influence adoption of best engineering practices, automations of software development, testing and deployment processes.Manage the prioritization and delivery of enhancements and ongoing maintenance activities for multiple services.Be responsible for the incident management, change, and problem management.Hire, retain and grow high-performing and diverse global engineering teams.Invest in the career development of your employees with a strong focus on mentorship and training.Lead with a strong client focus mindset across organizations.Handle routine daily activities such as coordination, coaching, mentoring, recruiting, budgeting, planning, delivery, quality, partner relationships, performance metrics, operations, efficiency, service level management, etc.Recruit and manage an engineering team dedicated to the implementation of the NA Authentication Program and enhancing our identity solutions.Collaborate closely with the global product office and the NA Regional team, help to define strategy and communicate a clear vision for the team.Make a positive impact on Visa's identity solutions, including B2C IAM and FIDO biometrics authentication, foster innovation and explore new technologies such as Gen AI.Spearhead the design and development of merchant-facing APIs for Data-Only implementation, including 3DS Data-Only and IDX/3rd party. This will enable PSPs to share additional insights that could influence issuer authorization decisions.Enhance the Digital Authentication Framework (DAF) offering (Token & PAN) to cater to the specific needs of the NA market.Leverage predictive AI models to score transactions and determine their eligibility for the NA authentication program benefits.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office three days a week with a general guidepost of being in the office 50+% of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
12+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 15+ years of relevant work experience Preferred Qualifications:
15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experienceProven experience managing software development teams delivering highly available enterprise level, distributed applications utilizing technologies such as Java, Golang, Spark, etc.Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and interaction skills, along with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills and the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise way.Proven track record of coordinating multiple product and technical teams by removing roadblocks and solving complex problems collaboratively.Strong at technical goal setting for a project with actionable success metrics.Experience with measuring a service from user experience perspective, setting, and tracking to SLAs and KPIs.Ability to represent technical and business issues and solutions to multiple levels internally and externally to support organizational plans.Ability to work in a complex organization to determine business and customer needs, providing the best solution to meet those needs.Experience with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle principles.Ability to manage multiple competing top priorities in a fast-paced environment.Expertise with the Java 8 platform or higher, Spring, Spring boot, caching, streaming pipelines.Experience building microservices with HTTP, REST, JSON and XML.Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proven experience building global solutions with EMVCo 3-D Secure, FIDO, and various authentication (OIDC, SSO, MFA) standards.Payment industry experience is a plus. U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 173,400.00 to 238,500.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
