Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Director, Asia Pacific and Japan Marketing with a deep understanding and clarity of vision of B2B Marketing in the digital or technology sector across key solution areas including data storage and management, cloud and emerging technologies.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader who brings a strategic marketing and growth mindset combined with creativity, an entrepreneurial spirit and innovative thinking to consistently deliver demonstratable impact. As an integral part of the APAC leadership team, this individual works together with key stakeholders across the sales organization, marketing ecosystem, other divisions of the company to develop, implement and oversee the execution of the GTM strategy and omnichannel marketing plan for APAC.
Reporting to the VP of WW Field Marketing, this role will directly impact the company's success by cultivating relationships to build and scale a highly impactful APAC marketing team. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to understand and adapt to different styles and work with people from all backgrounds; is a skilled communicator who can inspire teams to action, embrace change or achieve higher levels of success towards a common goal; and has the capacity to manage diverse relationships with the ability to easily relate to others to build solid foundations and lasting relationships.
Job Responsibilities
Part of the APAC Leadership team and owns the marketing relationship with sales for the region, acting as a strategic and trusted partner to align the marketing strategy and plan to key business goals objectives and sales plays. Serve as the trusted marketing advisor to business and marketing leadership for APAC, directing the right mix of marketing tactics that support growth against marketing KPI's. Lead and own a plan with your direct team of Area Marketing Managers and Account Based Marketing Managers, which is centred on in-market execution to support the advancement of opportunities for short-term and long-term success. Work cross-functionally across all marketing departments including Campaign Strategy, Hyperscaler Marketing, Partner Marketing, Events, Brand, Analyst Relations, PR, Portfolio Marketing Corporate Communications and more to support the implementation and execution of an aligned and integrated APAC marketing plan that enables the region to take back the market, accelerate pipeline and advance opportunities. Be adept at interpreting account insights and campaign program and event reporting to understand and optimize the impact of marketing and to APAC geo-marketing budget, resources and external agencies Lead recruit motivate and mentor a team of strategic data-driven next-gen marketers to support NetApp's business. Raising the team and building a deep bench are essential.
Key Requirements
You are an experienced marketer with vision clarity and depth of experience of B2B marketing in the technology sector.You have a proven track record in crafting strategic marketing plans aligned to the business priorities and goals that accelerate business opportunities position for long-term growth and deliver against KPI's.You are a strong, strategic thinker and problem solver and use a combination of data creativity to develop plans that solve business problems.You can engage, influence, and mobilize stakeholders at various levels of leadership within a large, matrixed organization through relationship building and strong presence.You have demonstrated the ability to design, plan and lead the execution of high-impact, creative, quality initiatives and programs in clear alignment with business strategy.You have experience building, leading and managing a team of marketers and can also "roll up your sleeves" to drive projects to completion.You foster innovation and creativity and think outside the box to bring new ideas to the table.You are comfortable taking on new challenges and have the ability to lead and adapt as the organization transforms, evolves and grows.You possess superior oral and written communications skills and presentation skills.
Experience and Education
15+ years of experience as a people manager is preferred. 15+ years of APAC marketing experience with a strong emphasis in the APAC markets. A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree required or equivalent experience in marketing, business, communications, or relevant field of study. A Graduate Degree is preferred.
