Job Description This role provides leadership and oversight to the Asia Pacific Client Incentive Operations team. This position will be responsible to successfully translate client incentive strategies, business relationships and initiatives into financial statement impacts.
Essential Functions
Provide leadership and oversight to the Client Incentive Operations team responsible for managing Asia Pacific Client Incentive agreements.Partner effectively with Sales, Contract Management, Legal, FP&A, Accounting, and Regional Finance Executives. Work with stakeholders to ensure alignment and communicate any updates timely. Provide guidance related to appropriate accounting treatment of incentive arrangements to stakeholders prior to contract execution. Collaborate to standardize and simplify contract structure. Automate processes.Foster collaborative cross-functional team environment and effectively drive standardization, automation, and process improvements. Prioritize as necessary based on business impact.Foster collaborative team environment and provide effective coaching and development of team members. Responsible for the efficiency, accuracy, and completeness of the day-to-day activities such as:Provide technical accounting expertise and guidance to team members as needed.Ensure that contractual commitments are in accordance with the terms of the contract, and properly assessed/accounted for per Visa accounting policy, in compliance with SOX controls. Liaise with stakeholders such as Sales, Legal, FP&A, Accounting, Billing to determine the fulfillment of contractual obligations. Assist the team in resolution of related issues and discrepancies. Manage the quarterly review and monitoring of quarterly significant deliverables including tracking and reporting of value-in-kind (VIK) globally, global significant new contracts, global flux analysis and contractual adjustments or amendments.Drive and implement global process improvements.Establish and measure appropriate performance metrics to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of team processes, and drive efficiencies through automation of business processes.Provide ad-hoc support. This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with 15 or more years of progressive experience in finance, accounting or audit.
