Overview
Come join the fast-paced PepsiCo Global Concentrate Services (PGCS) Demand Planning team. The PGCS demand team is responsible for delivering the retail & food service BU demand forecast for all the PGCS concentrate that is produced in the US & Canadian markets. As a Demand Planner for PGCS, you will play a critical role in optimizing our supply chain operations. Your primary responsibility will be to forecast customer demand, analyze various data sets, and develop strategies to ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs. This cross functional work is paramount in driving efficient concentrate production, minimizing inventory risk and ensure PGCS can achieve a 99.5%+ order fulfillment rate. The concentrate demand planning responsibility is to provide accurate forecasts for over 650+ different concentrate kits supporting both base business and new product innovation launches.
Responsibilities
The Primary Accountabilities of this Demand Planner role are as follows:
Develop accurate demand forecasts with the analysis of historical data, market trends, system generated stakeholder input and insights from cross functional discussions.Collaborate with cross functional team members to ensure achievement of Fill Rate, Backorder and Resource Order targets.Contribute to achieving On-Time Product Innovation Launches and work toward a minimum of 2% improvement in COGS by reducing write-off reserves. Minimize forecast bias when delivering SKU-level forecasts.Influence demand forecasts with an end-to-end mindset to enhance signal accuracy and minimize waste.S&OP Participation: Active participation in bi-weekly S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) meetings & perform necessary weekly, period & quarterly forecast adjustments based on PBNA & Canada business guidance.Supply Planning Collaboration: Partner with the Supply Planning team to ensure adequate concentrate supply to meet demand.Innovation and Project Management: Actively manage re-occurring innovation, product reformulations, and Limited-Time Offer (LTO) commercial actions. This includes project management through Stage Gate, SKU setup, forecast reconciliation, demand management, initiative tracking & launch execution.Review weekly exception reporting data to aid in improving forecast signal accuracy and engage with key business stakeholders to positively influence signal accuracy.Process Improvement: Lead and execute process improvement initiatives within the demand planning team or across the broader PGCS (Product & Global Category Supply) organization.Maintain statistical model system health & quarterly model updates to ensure SKU segmentation management is maintained.Participate in annual TPO (Total Portfolio Optimization) & influence demand model to minimize waste risk.SOX Compliance: Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) regulations related to demand planning and forecasting processes.
Qualifications
BS - Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related fieldExtensive supply chain knowledge and leadership experience (3+ years) in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Management, Warehousing and Transport processes/applications. Experience in consumer goods industry a plus.Innovative forward-thinking professional with proven track record of achieving great results & open to leverage new process, ideas or creative approach to solve business challenges.Strong analytic skills - working knowledge of statistical modeling techniques, complimented by strong problem identification skill while leveraging soft skills to deliver issue resolution. Proven ability to balance short term tactical vs. longer term strategic priorities.Project management skills - Managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.Excellent communication (verbal/written), interpersonal & presentation skills.Strong working knowledge of Excel (w/ advanced functionality). Solid working knowledge of SAP and statistical modeling a plus (Prevail is tool used today, although moving to IBP SAP).Position is based in New York Purchase HQ Facility
Compensation and Benefits
The expected compensation range for this position is between $74,800 -$125,250 based on a full-time schedule.Location confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.In addition to salary, PepsiCo offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees and their families, subject to elections and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Insurance (Accident, Group Legal, Life), Defined Contribution Retirement Plan.
